  • Gigguk is so freakin’ well-spoken and persuasive, he could literally manage to get more than 90% of us invested in Fairy Tail if he ever tried to.
  • Mamika not realizing how brutal and deadly her powers were in that world and being shocked death and violence exists was amazing
  • @Florkl
“Wanna find the reason why my friends all died.” Is such a raw line in such an epic song that just perfectly encapsulates the show.
  • I love how gigguk is going heavy on the soundtrack. Because anything by Hiroyuki sawano is going to sound amazing.
  • The fact that you finally managed to talk about this anime after so long is just a testament to how rent free it lived in your head. Good job Giggster !
  • This is Garnt's like 10th time trying to get us to watch Re Creators and I think this video sums it up so well. He addresses the shortcomings but highlights the strongest portions and convinces you that you should care. The show is good, he's right it's a 7 or 8 with unforgettable moments that you remember more of the strong moments because the highs are so high more than you may remember the individual seemless details in a 10/10 masterpiece. Garnt as always a true banger
  • i swear any show gigguk talks about suddenly gets 4x more interesting after i watch his video
  • Re:Creators was god-tier genius, even when the execution occasionally wobbled. The premise and the true deconstruction of it all made it one of the most unique entertainment experiences I've ever encountered. To this day, it's one of my favorite anime. I wish there was a way they could make more of it, even though that would make no sense.
  • The concept of a reverse isekai, where fiction becomes real, is sorely underexplored. I always love considering how a character would react to knowing their entire existence is at the whims of entertainment. How their trials and tribulations are just our tropes. I genuinely love how Re:Creators actually stepped up to tackle it from different angles in different genres, even if it ended up a bit bloated in it's own worldbuilding. I wish more works would play with these kinds of stories.
  • Also, Violet Evergarden is a show that sticks with me a lot. I lost a parent, too, and it was extremely sudden, and it really REALLY helped me understand things that we as people are never properly equipped to deal with - the author has a very deep understanding of grief, self discovery and moving beyond loss through casual AND deep connections. As a writer Re:Creators is similar, but yeah, good shows are so few and far between. Katanagatari is another one that sticks with me, since it similarly deals with loss, redemption, trust, faithfulness, loyalty, etc.
  • Still one of my all-time favorite anime. I'm glad someone finally remembered this and gave it its honor.
  • @Artan9000
I didn't expect Gigguk to talk about Re:Creators but man am I glad he did. Also the music is a banger and I bet all Re:Creator fans were singing along, I know I was.
  • Of course one thing I want to praise about Re: Creators is the underrated and godlike ost’s by Hiroyuki Sawano. The soundtrack absolutely slaps.
  • Even after more than 700 anime, Re: Creators still lingers in my head. It's a love letter to all of creation, all authors and an inspiration to create and be someone better. It's trully a classic that didn't get enough credit and still doesn't get enough. Plus it has the best recap episode ever :v
  • I love recreators. Sadly we live in the alternate universe that this series didn't become a undisputed classic but one where its only remembered by a few for how amazing it was. And you know what I'm happy to be one of those few.
  • 13:35 I LITERALY HAD TO PUT MY HAND OVER MY MOUTH, OAUSE AND TURN AWAY CUS SHIT GOT SO REAL. If Guts found out all of his suffering was designed and we had to tell him that people were inspired by him, but he and his whole reality was basicly sacrificed like an insect for that... I... Shit i cant even handle what it would be like if Guts suddenly came to our world
  • I can't believe it was aired 5 years ago. Felt like yesterday. And the last image on the last episode always got me feels
  • Re:Creators is my favorite thing ever. It's a show that feels like it was made specifically for me, which sort of makes it difficult to recommend to other people, but I desperately hope that many more people come into the fold after this video. You've done us in this fandom a GREAT service here Gigguk. ......NOW WATCH SYMPHOGEAR, TOO!
  • After watching your video essay I had to check this anime out, and I wasn’t disappointed. I really liked this anime because it shows us writers that our characters can exist outside of our head, inside our hearts in our own mental meta space. Brilliant video man.
  • @zyarc9998
Gigguk always got me goosebumps everytime he do these kind of videos, he know just the perfect words to choose everytime he explain about anime, and this one... BIG W
