There have been a series of unfortunate events in France that included showing a caricature of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, a brutal murder, multiple knife attacks, the French government displaying cartoons of the prophet Muhammad on government buildings, and a call to boycott French products. In this video I give my take on these events and whether or not I think Muslims should boycott French products.

    You have recently done many videos on buying stocks and which ones are halal etc, this video is very refreshing and delves into topics of global affairs, economic policy, sanctions and just general geopolitics which you can enlighten us on more in the future since your style is very well received and entertaining. Obviously since boycotting is a very practical thing we can all do, the relevance to talk on this issue is definitely needed so thank you.

    I love you Rakaan, thanks for being so responsible and ambitious, I wish more people like you could represent our community. I am a muslim student living in France and I love this country, and people are starting to be more and more hostile toward muslims. For instance a market like walmart temporarely refused women with hijab right after this event... anyway let's pray for peace and let's try to change it as we can everyday for the best. Peace be upon all of you .

    thank you for explaining it in such eye opening way, im now only worried with the boycott for our brother and sisters in france may being hit hard by the boycott indirectly. I wonder if there is any kind of help organisation too spend on to help them financially through this hard time while also making Dua for them constantly.
