I did 6 weeks cycling in Portugal and Spain 40+ years ago with my wife. Your trip brought back a lot of special memories to me. You're right about the people you meet along the way. Thanks Bernardo.
  • This was not just a YouTube video. It was a work of art. A cinematic adventure. Fresh, uplifting, really felt like I was there. And the sunflowers… oh the sunflowers :) tysm Bernardo

Favourite line - "The simpler times, where the only thing that really mattered was the wind in your head and the joy of being alive."
  • I found this video a couple of months ago, it left me really wanting to do something similar, and here I am now after going on my first cycling trip. I had never been abroad before now, but I have now. I grabbed my things and packed everything I thought I would need and cycled from my home in Scotland to France, I had just turned 20, finished work for the summer and wasn't sure what to do with my time before uni started again and I'm so happy it's something that I've now done. thank you <3
  • When I was 23 in the late 1990s I cycled from England down through France, Spain and Morocco to the edge of the Sahara. I did the same as you in this video, same kind of panniers, slept under the stars, saw great things and met great people, and all with the power of legs! Now I'm married and a father, so it's good to see your video with my wife and start to think, hmm 🤔 maybe time to dust off the panniers again and take the family this time👍

I cycled from Ayia Napa in Cyprus to Calais in Northern France. The year was 2012, I rode through, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Monaco and France. The longest I cycled in one day was in France, 183km. The whole trip was 5,500kms or 3,300mls. I was still just at the age of 42 yrs. Wow what an adventure! I'm 54yrs now. I have since owned to boats, but my second is going to take me around the world! Great to know another one in a million adventurer!!! 👍

This isn’t just a YouTube video about cycling it’s a beautifully made short film. A work of art with wonderful filming and storytelling.
  • I can't thank you enough for this video. When I turned 18 I grabbed my bike and went on a very similar trip (even trough some of the exact same places) through France and Spain on the Camino. It was such a life-changing experience. You just brought me back. It's like I was there again. And that is invaluable... I also filmed my trip, but it's been almost 2 years and I still didn't manage to tell my story. You made me cry with this piece of art. So genuine. So true. I can vouch for everything you said, I experienced it, and it's like nothing else... I'm gonna go and edit my video from the trip now. Thank you once more 🥹

Steve's story is amazingggggg. He inspires me a lot and I love his perspective about life, not care about what you will eat or where you're gonna sleep. Awww, love you and love Steve 3000

This is the video that I never wish to end. Amazing scenery along the way. Mont St Michel brought back fun memories during my visit in 2010.
  • Some people living in Europe take this for granted because it's normal for them, but you live in the most gorgeous place on earth. Love from Mexico
  • @jorgefleitao
This video was better than any movie on Netflix. Amazing, Bernardo!
  • @IAOHUM
About ten years ago I crossed several European countries on my Marine bike. This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, I still cherish it in my heart and will always do. This beautiful video brought up a lot of good memories and made me consider the opportunity to get back to bike travelling. Thank you!

As a Brazilian I was excited when you spoke Portuguese by the end of the video. Such an amazing trip!
