Psychic types are mysterious and often quite powerful, but in Pokemon Black and White... there aren't too many of them. Can we make the best of what we've got and use them to beat Pokemon Black's hardest challenge?!

We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only one type? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon Black Hardcore Nuzlocke with only Psychic types? No items and no overleveling!

Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Silph could you please do a final segment where you decide which Pokémon was the MVP of the run? I think it would be really cool to hear your opinions and who you thought really carried the team the most, most of all i love your videos! they’ve gotten me to start nuzlocking myself, and truly making play throughs amazing for me again 🙏🏻

Hi Silph! Your videos are always amazing. I suggest you a Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokemon HG or SS using only Johto bug type Pokémon till Lance, only Kanto bug type Pokémon till Blue and then the survivors together to face Red. A sort of 2 Hardcore Nuzlockes in 1! Stay strong and again congratulations from an italian fan.

Thanks for the vid Silph! I don't know if you'll read this, but I just wanted to say that I super appreciate your format! I love that you upload the run as is and if you make it past a certain point you don't just reset until you win. It makes the video so much more interesting not knowing if you'll get lucky and be able to pull it out in the end. I'd much rather watch a challenge run that was a loss with a great story than if every run was just ran until you won. Thanks again!
