I BROKE Pokemon Emerald for an INSANE Zigzagoon

Why on earth would I make a 30 minute video about a Zigzagoon? Surely there's something fishy going on here...

Combining the power of glitches, RNG manipulation, and genetic engineering I've created something truly special. Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red/Leaf Green, and even the elusive Pokemon Box for the Nintendo GameCube play a role.

Thank you to all my friends and supporters for making this possible!

I am not even exaggerating when I say this, but this video is hands down the greatest YouTube video I have ever watched. Not even just the best Pokemon video either. You said it perfectly at the end when you dubbed this a passion project. I honestly think its so cool that you dedicated time and effort to a goal that may seem silly to some, but for you it was the result of learning, practicing and perfecting a craft. I applaud you and the achievement in this video. I'm so happy the algorithm brought me to this video and I cant wait to see what other content you produce in the future. You have earned a subscriber and I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Cheers mate! Job well done!

I think "Pokémon Genetic Research Scientist" is the perfect title for you to have if you existed in the world of Pokémon.

From a genetic engineering researcher who used to work with CRISPR and a gen 3 nostalgia lover, I can confidently say this was a phenomenal deep dive into a topic that mirrors gene splicing in a bizzaro world way — it’s not often that a video finds such a niche, indulgent spot to settle in my brain. Amazing work, this is the level of passion I wish everyone was able to have. Thanks for being so rad (and thanks to YouTube for bringing me a fantastic recommendation for once in a blue moon).
  • As someone who knows nothing about Pokémon glitches other than the basics, this was a confusing, yet entertaining watch, and that’s what I want all videos to feel like
  • This is a borderline impossible nightmare of a journey that no sane person should or would ever attempt. It’s the greatest Pokémon achievement I’ve ever seen and I love it.
  • As someone who, back when I was 6, somehow managed to get 99 master balls from the team aqua hideout (without using an action replay, I genuinely dont know how it happened), and in all of my 6 year old wisdom, decided to catch 99 zigzagoons, forever cementing it as my favorite pokemon, this video brings me immense happiness. Amazing work!
  • What an absolute GOATED video. You explained things in a way where even a dude like me who didn’t know what IVs and EVs were a week ago could understand. I can see through the sheer quality of this video how much this is means to you and the amount of work put into to researching and performing all of this. Kudos!

This whole process is already a big brain + time consuming journey plus added with editing by yourself is totally a huge masterpice! I congrats you for that precious orange zags PapaJefe!

Okay the more I watch the more my jaw drops, you're quiet litteraly using genome reconstruction to generate what you want. This deserves a peace prize. This will be used by future scientists as the stepping stone into discovery
  • I clicked on this thinking I would zone out eventually but I was hooked the entire time. You explained everything so well, and it was incredibly fun to watch. Congrats on this absolute beast of a Pokémon <3

Perfectly crafting the Godzagoon in a pokelab with the cutting edge of poketech, far past the time when he could fulfill his purpose and deliver his people. You better give him plenty of walks.
  • I think this is the closest thing to genuine video game alchemy I've ever heard of.
  • @TheSassJacket
Incredible watch. As the owner of one of the ten-thousand current existing copies of Pokemon Box, it's crazy to think a Zigzagoon like that is even possible to obtain, let alone that someone would stumble into finding one in the infinite rng of the universe! Your knowledge and dedication is super readily apparent! I hope you find a ton of success with your future content~
  • @markeire3028
Absolutely incredible video. Great summaries of like almost every Gen 3 RNG mechanic. Hope the Zigzagoon/Linoone have some success in battle!
  • @Haydunn
This video was absolutely insane. Well done, sir
  • @flutemcglute
This is amazing, reminds me of an actual research paper in the engaging manner you delivered the content. As a recent Biology Graduate, I loved the parallel to genetic editing you added and it was such a wonderful video. Thank you
  • Utterly. Insane. Incredible, truly admirable work. A masterful display of all your learnings, so elequently and clearly delivered. Blisy and yourself really are the bastion of RNG knowledge for the english-speaking pokemon community, and videos of this quality and clarity really do well in growing the community and making things more rewarding, engaging and accessible. Bravo, my dude. And yes, I absolutely want to see a breakdown on the Unown hunting in more detail.
  • This might be one of the wildest videos I’ve ever seen. I’m glad Yard Rat exists, thanks to you.
