Has anyone ever noticed that Troy kinda looks like the Riddler?
  • @FloralHaze
The idea that the iconic gothic art deco blimps are adapted as the richest elite escaping the city, and at the end of the movie it’s revealed that it’s the court of owls who’re up there in the blimps is genius 🤯
  • @DiegoReviews
If you need an alternate title for ‘Silence of The Batman’ I recommend ‘The Batman Shuts the Fuck Up.’ I love this pitch, Troy! I’d love to see Killer Croc make an appearance as a minor villain.

One thing I love about Paul Dano’s Riddler is how he does like just crazy stuff randomly. It really adds to his insanity, so I think in your version what would be cool is when Batman talks to the Riddler, he starts like doing random stuff doing it like singing or whatever, I just like that trait of his, made him really crazy
  • The Batman is easily my favorite live action Batman film. That being said, I really, really hope they don’t shy away from the comic booky stuff in the sequels. The Nolan movies really burned me out on the idea of “what if Batman existed in the real world?” I want Poison Ivy to have plant powers, I want Clayface to be a man made of clay. I don’t need a big interconnected DC universe to spin out of this, but I would like for this to be a world where Superman and the Justice League could exist. I think the Arkham games are a good template for telling grounded, character-driven Batman stories without doing away with the more fantastical elements of the character. Oh, and I want Batman to sword fight Ra’s Al Ghul in the desert while shirtless but keeping his cowl on. That’s Batman.

As a kid I was lonely, nobody at school wanted to talk to me because of several reasons but I found Batman and he showed me that I could be kind in a world that was cruel and that sometimes being a light in darkness is okay. I loved Reeves' Batman because it finally showed the Batman that I saw in those books as a kid. Bruce Wayne is troubled but at the end of the day his mission is to make sure to save Gotham and I love Reeves' Batman. I loved the prewrite Troy it sounds like such a fun idea.

I think the number one thing The Batman 2 needs is Robin, and Dick Grayson specifically. Not only would he perfectly fit into the arc for Bruce that the first movie set up but if Matt Reeves ends up going the route of the Court of Owls it would be a massive mistake not to have one of the most important characters in that story
  • @legofan370
I don't totally love the idea of Hush being hypnotized by the Court of Owls, because I think he's a villain that can stand on his own two feet. But this story is still pretty damn good and just further fuels my theory that the next film will feature both Hush and Court of Owls.
  • Wow I didn’t know the Riddler did movie prewrites now, he’s really branching out with his content after he flooded Gotham, good for him honestly Edit: Love the Kite-Man cameo lmao
  • @iceman2080
Idgaf what anyone says the Batman is the best Batman movie to ever exist on this planet
  • @andrewdel4055
I Like the story, like the introduction of court of owls, problem was the third act gets a lil messy and I think we’re for sure getting more joker in the next movie dc is gonna push it
  • IMO I don’t like the prewright. I think if your going for a slightly lighter and more colorful tone you may as well introduce robin (maybe Jason would fit best), Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves both said they would be interested in a comic accurate 13 year old robin. You could’ve replaced Jack Ryder and his kid with one of the robins and their parents. I’m a big fan of the twist ending tho props for that love the idea of a rat with wings being the owls

I like your idea of Hush, but a Clayface works even better for the angle that you're tackling. Love the video, by the way. He's a better angle for 2 reasons; 1) His occupation as an actor could work to set up a 'performative activism' that could work really well, in contrast to Bruce's arc and development. 2) His body horror-esque abilities could work well with Bruce working on his interpersonal skills and trust on his allies and the general population of Gotham (like Spider - Man 1 moment with the bridge). I would love to hear your thoughts.. Also, I do think further exploring the martial law aspect to Gotham could be great to introduce Renee Montoya as Gordon's partner and eventually her successor by being either destroying the existing force or be the Question as she, too, was inspired by Batman as a symbol of hope. I do think the assassin angle that you provided with, could help introduce Cassandra Cain to the fold. With her backstory and her interpretation of the Bat symbol, I think she'll make for an interesting first Robin than the usual first Robin we usually associate with. I think her father, David Cain, could be a bridge to connect to the Court more organically.

It’s way overdue for blue batsuit, love the idea of the thin bat symbol outline in yellow looks so good
  • @toontrooper4103
I think it was really funny when that cop said "the whole system would have to change" and then later in the movie there's that scene with the cops busting Falcone and Gordon says "I guess we're not all bad". I wonder if it was the writers or studio that got cold feet.
  • I think that’d it would be a bit cooler if the Batman suit from the first was so damaged that Bruce is forced to make a new suit, it would kind of address the whole “superheroes get a new suit every movie” trope like Dark Knight did
  • This is much too similar to the movie we’ve already received. Especially considering the fact that they drew so much inspiration from Hush for The Riddler. We don’t need another string of murders. We need something more personal, such as a Mr. Freeze story.
  • @f-zilla7347
Matt Reeves is like the new Peter Jackson. Makes a trilogy of masterpieces, then out of nowhere makes another surprise masterpiece years later. Also, if these movies have to have the funny society clown, then make him the final villain. Build him up slowly, and then the final film will be the climatic battle between Batman and the Joker. I think that could work.
  • Here’s my pitch for The Batman 2 The title would be Batman Duo The opening scene would have Batman saving some people from Killer Croc, establishing how the criminals of Gotham are changing since Falcone and the Riddler incident. The mobster are losing their place in Gotham while the “freaks” (the weird insane villains) are rising to power. Much like in the previous movie, the plot would be a detective noir story, with Batman trying to find a mysterious killer who targets street girls, causing him to gain the nickname Gotham’s Ripper (reference to Jack the Ripper). Meanwhile, there would be a sub plot about Batman dealing with a new crime boss who is trying to take over Penguin territory and become Gotham’s new crime boss. In one of this attempts his gang would cause the death of the Flying Grayson, resulting in Bruce adopting their son Dick Grayson and, as the two bond and become friends, he decides to train the kid, turning him into his partner Robin. Batman's decision to accept Dick Grayson as his sidekick would cause some drama between him and Alfred, who would belive that in insanity to allow a 16/17 old boy to get involved in a dangerous life. This would be the dillema for Batman in the movie, with him question if he's doing the right thing by allowing Dick Grayson to become Robin, dealing with his insecurites and fears that he might not be the ideal father figure to Dick, afraid to be a bad influence for the kid just like he was for the Riddler and his men. This is where movie would introduce Leslie Thompkins, a friend of Bruce's parents and she reveals to Bruce that his father also went through similar situations, helping the hero realize that he can be a good father/mentor for Dick and allow the boy to become not just hero like him but a better one. After some investigation, Batman and Robin  would find out a connection between this new crime boss and the Gotham’s Ripper, deducting their identities:  The Mad Hatter  and the Ventriloquist & Scarface, The two villains  were actually working together, with Mad Hatter creating new drug for the Ventriloquist and, as payment for the product, the crime boss gives the girls so the Hatter can control them, wanting to turn the girls into his Alice, his girlfriend who died during the battle between Batman and Riddler in the end of the last movie (If one the girls refuse to act as his Alice, Mad Hatter freaks out and kills her, feeling regret for doing it then ask the Ventriloquist to find another victim). In the end, the dynamic duo defeats the two villains (or three if we count Ventriloquist and Scarface as two characters) and  they are send to Arkham, where they would meet the Joker and other inmates. The movie ends with the revelation that, without the villains knowing, they are all being watch by a mysterious man in the shadows.

The novel Batman: War on Crime is an excellent depiction of Batman and truly shows the hope symbol Batman is and I think that the second film should adapt it as a b-plot
