Instructions online and in the manual were sparse at the very most. We kept thinking all we needed to do was to yank the rope toward the door (or the other way, if you read the unhelpful Genie instructions). As soon as you moved the carriage, it was clear what our issue was and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for showing us how to get things re-aligned. Signed, 2 70-year-old engineers LOL.

Thank you so much!!! Like you said, the white part has to latch so I looked for the white thing and let it run. AND MAGIC!!!! It worked. No other video explains it like you did. You may want to redo it and title it "Reengaging garage door doesn't work. Look for the white thing" or something like that. You were the 5th and final video.🎉🎉🎉

I am mechanically challenged! My power went out this morning, and I was able to disengage the door and get my car out and shut the door again but couldn't get it to re-engage when I got home. Even had my son on facetime with no luck. YOUR video helped me fix it. Thanks so much
