Silver has gone over $24 an ounce! Gold is pushing $2000! In this video, I visit Coin Guy's shop in Spring Hill, Florida and we speak about current events and the fun but crazy precious metals markets in 2020. Guy shows me some of his paper money collection and also some of his rare gold coins from his personal (and not for sale) collection. The man loves his history and he gives us a lesson in history while showing some awesome coins and collectibles. Thank you for watching!

Who thinks the coin guy looks a little bit like Archie Bunker? Another very good video from the two of you 👍
  • @BaltimoreColt
I could listen to him all day. What a treasure. I so wish I lived near his shop.
  • Everyone asks... "If only coins could talk". Coin Guy tells the stories. That's why he's so interesting. Can't get enough of Coin Guy. Thanks Speg!! 😀

“History is to be learned from, not to be pulled down”. 💕
  • Coin guy is by far my favorite content on your channel....what a good guy
  • Thanks Mr Guy for showing us your personal collection and sharing the fascinating history. As a New Yorker that still works downtown. We check out a couple shows a year (before Covid). Ok seats are $250 (unless purchased via TKTS), the train round trip is $30 (from NJ) and dinner for 2 with a couple glasses of wine $130. Total of $430. They have priced us, the working class out of dinner and a show. When I was a kid in the 70’s & 80’s my family would go to a show, go to Mama Leone’s, Beefsteak Charlie’s or Katz for dinner and the grand total including transportation would be $80-$100 for a family of 3.

Mr Guy, thank you for the incredible knoledge of history. The coins are a reminder of times gone by. And what you said st the end about history is to learn from not to tear down. God bless you

There were approximately 14,000 banks were issued charters for the 1929 national banknotes, and were used to stimulate the economy during the Great Depression. And yes,the 1929 Federal Reserve Banknotes( of which there are 12)go for less. The Gold Reserve Act of 1934 followed FDR's Executive order 6102,and it changed the price of gold from $26.07 to $35.I love the history of paper currency and it was nice to see Coinguy talk about it.That 1902 Boston Harbor national banknote is cool, just because of the history of the Boston Tea Party at that Harbor

  • I have been collecting coins and banknotes for a year here in Brazil, and I find your videos very spontaneous and that adds a lot of numismatic content to the entire community of coin, banknote and precious metal collectors. Congratulations!

  • @brettman273
I appreciate the fact that you both try to keep the politics out of it unless it's relevant and even then just enough to keep it in context. It's hard to do, especially nowadays. I could watch this guy all day, love it!
  • Every coin guy chapter gets better and better, god bless that guy and you too Jesse for sharing something so special. Btw that collection is SO COOL.
  • Man spectacular I love these videos with coin guy he knows his stuff love his patriotism reminds me of my father wish I was in Florida I’d love to meet him and you both always a learning session with him and you keep these videos coming.
  • I like this guy , he actually thinks about the people that handled these coins and their lives. I metal detect and find all kinds of stuff but I always spare a thought for those that dropped their coin and maybe how much that loss affected them
