Southern Spain's Brilliant Medieval Architecture | Show Me Where You Live Compilation

Published 2023-07-29
Philippe is interested in how architecture can provide a glimpse into how people live all around the world. He travels to some of the most unique spots and culture on the planet to see what they have to offer. Today he is in the southern Spain’s Andalusia, heading to the city of Granada. Invaded by the Moors in the 8th century, it still holds some of the unique architecture and savvy engineering style from the 13th-15th century. Next, Philippe heads to Havana, Cuba, a city mixed with old and new, seeing how it’s changed since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Finally he makes his way to Northern Togo’s Koufitigou to discover the unique houses called takientas, a fortress-like home made of earthen materials.

This is one of the most interesting series on the Internet. I love getting an armchair view into other countries' people's ways of living. Thank you.

Excellent to see the 3 documentaries in a single seating. Each architecture is diverse. But the common thread is the relationship with the garden and that garden's impact on the family and in society.

The people from Togo have no TV, PC, books but they know more about needs, boundaries, respect then many of us 😮
