Inside The Favelas Of Rio De Janeiro | Show Me Where You Live Compilation

Published 2023-08-19
Philippe is interested in how architecture can provide a glimpse into how people live all around the world. He travels to some of the most unique spots and culture on the planet to see what they have to offer. Today he is in Rio, Brazil’s second-most populous city. With its carnival, beautiful beaches, and mountain peaks, the city has much to offer. Its also known for its favelas, the informal districts constructed on the city’s hillside. With a somewhat violent reputation in the 1990’s, Philippe is interested in seeing how people who live there now are participating in the reinvention of their lifestyles. Next, he heads to Bolivia’s Chipaya territory, an indigenous community that survives off the shores of an old salt lake, thanks to a remarkable water management and architecture system that is adapted to the arid climate.

I love this, "you come up with a plan and you build" this is exactly how I built my home, when I built it there were no requirements of building permits, I love this because I can relate so very much
