  • Before the makeover, she's closer to what I'd imagine Hermione to look like
  • It's difficult to make her "appear" ugly. She's always been so beautiful ❤️

2:55 I love how she's clearly nervous when they reveal her new look. The makeover didn't automatically give her new confidence but it did help her self-esteem

    "You broke my glasses" "You broke my brush" S i s d o e s y o u r b r u s h c o s t 4 0 0 d o l l a r s
  • I love how the grandma said "better " instead of "you look beautiful" implying that she is already beautiful, just need a bit of improvement.

I love the line "Charlotte, watch him like a hawk" 😂😂 Julie Andrews is my favourite

I’d love to see a transformation scene like this span out throughout a movie. At the beginning she had bad posture, unkept hair, bad dry skin, calloused hands and feet and throughout the film you see her posture being fixed which assists with her confidence issues, you see her learn how to treat and take care of whatever her hair type may be which makes her hair healthier and gorgeous, you see a proper skin routine which makes her face and body look healthy and rich, and take care of her hands and feet and whatnot. So you don’t just through development into a thirty minute segment.
  • I love how dramatic it’s supposed to be when all they did was pluck her brows and straighten her hair lol

Every princess make over ever: -remove glasses -let hair down and straighten it -pluck a bit of the eye brows

I love the fact how they made her grand-mère a kind old lady instead of a toxic grandma

“You broke my glasses!” “You broke my brush…” 🤷🏻‍♂️ Years later and that line is still funny. He is a savage!

What kind of professional stylist tries to brush thick hair dry from the top? Mia didn't break your brush, Paulo, you did.

How many curly-haired girls with glasses did this scene traumatize within one generation?
  • I was a little girl when I first saw this movie, and I had hair just like hers and I knew even then from experience that no amount of straightening would ever keep it that straight without constant flat ironing or resorting to relaxing it. When she goes to school with the hat on the next day, and she still has perfectly straight hair hidden underneath, is when the movie magic officially stopped because I knew that just wasn’t possible unless she had a stylist constantly following her around with a pair of GHDs. The heat and the friction would have turned her hair, straight or not, into a frizz ball.

As I've gotten older I've realized that she wasn't really ugly to begin with and that there are actually models who walk the runway with her hair and eyebrows lol.

One of my favorite movies. I loved the makeover. Mia looked 1000 times better! And she was hilarious in this movie!! 😂❤

Her curly hair was beautiful. It just needed care.
  • "Where is the beautiful girl?" turns around and screams "She is gorgeous" 😂lmao
