About Me: Sarra Cannon writes contemporary and paranormal fiction with both teen and college-aged characters. Her novels often stem from her own experiences growing up in the small town of Hawkinsville, Georgia, where she learned that being popular always comes at a price and relationships are rarely as simple as they seem.

Sarra started indie publishing in 2010 and has sold over three-quarters of a million copies of her books.

She is a devoted (obsessed) fan of Hello Kitty and has an extensive collection that decorates her desk as she writes. She currently lives in Dallas, Texas with her amazingly supportive husband, her adorable red-headed son, and her beautiful little girl.

  • Here for the replay ❤ I love our coffee chats, and I am so thankful for the time we have together as a community when we are able to meet. I’m still working out my focus for my 6M4L- I’m working on establishing and cultivating habits, and there are so many emotions and past traumas that I end up confronting each step… I’m just reminding myself that I just need to take little steps each day, “little by little”. Creating space to feel safe to create again ❤️✨

Watching this on replay, and SISTER - you're speaking to my soul (regarding clutter / stuff / not wanting to be uncomfortable)!! I've been through a house fire, and that "hold onto it" trauma is real. Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year!!

Here for the replay! I’m super invested in my own 6M4L journey in 2024. Also, I’ve been in Take Back Your House for 2 years now. I love the all day declutters. I’m also certified with Dana and Cas as a decluttering coach and organizational specialist. It’s my second side hustle and I loooove it. I enjoy helping out my friends so if you want someone to help you jumpstart your decluttering lmk😊

Hi Sarra, by pure coincidence I was listening to this as I was trying to declutter my home - I am so where you are, literally right now, It is something so many people suffer from but few understand. Seems to me those fortunate enough not to be neat and organised in their homes are often too eager to point the finger and don't understand that our brains work differently. Its comforting to know that someone I admire as a creator has this same issue. Good luck with creating your calm space and I best get back to creating mine. I love what you do, keep on keeping on.
  • To a wonderful new year! Your goals sound great! Sending you much love and creative vibes <3

I am in the same boat with you! I want my house to be clean and organized but I don't always have time or energy. I actually was in a routine in a while ago that I would do my morning exercise and clean one area of the main floor per day (dusting, then vacuum the next day, then kitchen the next, etc.) It helped a lot! I also work from home and use my personal computer while I'm working, so I have a backpack that goes with me downstairs and I keep my books and tablet, etc. in that bag if I'm not using it. It helps with keeping things de-cluttered a bit.

I almost died in 2018, from having a stroke/TIA. And when I was in the hospital for 7 1/2 days, my mom went home one of the days to let our dog out, and my Gramma stayed at the hospital with me while my mom went to the house. My entire basement where my most sentimental belongings and valuable memories in my bedroom there, everything was flooded with sewer waste water. And I lost so much sentiment items. Watching this replay someone mentioned your house fire and how that could be a factor. But since then for me, my bedroom has flooded several times and I can't keep my spaces tidy either. I'm drowning in clutter bc I'm Im scared to death I'll lose everything again. I've never resonated more with you.
  • Catching the replay. I, too, cannot focus if my environment is cluttered. I have found that directing that "just get it done" energy toward picking stuff up after myself on a constant basis. It does suck when I'm exhausted and there's ONE MORE pile of laundry to fold before I can go to bed, but gutting that out allows me to wake up in the morning and feel aligned, relaxed, and in flow so that I can write the words and homeschool the kid. Also, perhaps consider investing in regular housecleaners? It's SO worth it. If only because it's so helpful in maintaining the tidiness in between visits. ETA: Lol. Fair enough. You addressed housecleaners as soon as I hit "save" on the comment. :)

Hi Sarra, I love your new introduction!!!. I really enjoy coffee chats. I am one of your fans that is excited to wait for the next book. I know it will be great because you take your time making sure each piece of the story is awesome. I hope this New Year will be good for you and can't wait for the next coffee chat. Evie is cute.
  • @PlanwithLaken
Oh Evie is just the cutest!! Glad she’s feeling better!!!
  • @knottyneedle
It's not a 'cleaner house', but rather 'less cluttered'. I feel your pain! (As I am cleaning off the table behind my desk!) Also, not to put any pressure on you....but you are the 'creative well' many of us go to for refilling our own well.
  • @sallyhigby9089
I am decluttering my house this year and I am starting with a goal of a space per week so that it doesn’t overwhelm me. I am thinking about a no buy for however long that takes me to be sure I am not piling in stuff before I eliminate everything I want to. I totally relate to this type of struggle.
  • @francineh.7825
Thank you for all of your videos this past year, the information/wisdom/personal stories that you have provided via your videos and chats has been so incredibly helpful to me and I am so grateful for your channel!
  • @doreendilger
Sara you are brilliant at what you do. You need to prioritize what brings you joy and easily brings you money. Expand your team so you can let go of the things that will allow you do build your wealth. Think outside the box. I would start with a personal assistant that can help you in many facets. 😊
  • I was in this cycle as well and i also have alot of truma surrounding cleanliness... and what i ended up doing and its helped a lot is setting a time. Working from home is great but i have a hard time separating work and home. But i got really burnt out. So I set work day hours and i have it as part of my night routine. And that helped me alot. It took a while to get one down it doesnt happen over night but i wrote down an ideal routine whatever that looks like to you and started adding another thing every few days. I.e; brush teeth clean up counter while brushing teeth.... also donating supplies to schools and daycares are a great way to make sure your supplies go to great places and make kids happy 😊
  • I always love these videos! ❤ Here's to a fantastic 2024 for all of us! Can't wait to see all you have in store for us! Sending Coven vibes 🥰
  • You’ve explained a lot of how I’ve been feeling with how hard I push myself. I got sick a week ago and can’t even take a break to allow myself to get the rest I need. ‘Push through’ has been my motto and I’m Slowing down to listen to the sign of getting sick. 😊
  • @aedynbrooks6900
I love your hat! When I moved, I made it a goal to organize with everything has a place and if it doesn't or I can't make room for it, it needs to go. I have so many boxes out in the garage of things I never unpacked. Now, a year later, it's time to donate. Once temps get to a reasonable level, I'll be getting all of that together and to Good Will. Declutter is a daily thing. Reset the kitchen, main living areas, etc., at the end of the day. My office is organized clutter and it's okay. I know where everything is. :-)
