When I played X in 2013 I randomly stumbled upon Zygarde and since that moment hes still one of my favorite legendaries because of that

This video came out at the perfect time. This is the only pokémon game I've given up halfway through nuzlocking it 🤣

From what I remember, having played x and y for a combined 5 or so playthrough, the postgame felt like a checklist to me more than the other Pokémon games, even with the Looker side episodes. I thoroughly enjoy gen 6 but when they came right after BW2 which had the PWT, battle subway, battle institute, black tower/white treehollow, pokestar studios, join avenue, abyssal ruins, entralink, all the medals, not to mention the other half of the region or the handful of returning legendaries, it’s hard not to ask is that it.
  • You forgot about: - getting dusk stone from a Team Flare grunt in Laverre City, - getting back your Pokemon with max. affection and a comet shard from the now-dead man in Anistar City (only if you gave him one of your Pokemon before beating the league) - unlocking Duke/Duchess and Grand Duke/Duchess ranks in Battle Chateau - obtaining Gracidea, Reveal Glass, DNA Splicers and Genesect's discs since now you have National Pokedex and access to Friend Safari.

The homelessness side quest with Emma was thoughtful. Looker is a good joe 🙏

I think the thing about the xy post game is that at the time it was a tiny post game, because of how much all the previous pokemon games had in their post games. But with all the games we've had since xy besides a few they've had next to nothing in their post games, which now makes xy's post game look bigger in retrospect.

bro xy is by far the most underrated games of all time in the series. i remember everyone loved these games when they came out and then it became popular to hate on them.

Tbh when i was a kid i was scared of the post-game because i thought if i lost a battle my pokemon would get stolen 😂

the thumbnnail for this video was super nostalgic. definitely a thumbnail design from the era of XY, if that was done on purpose well done.
  • @carstan62
I think what had most people disappointed with XY's post-game was the lack of a new route to explore like in generations 2, 4, and 5.

When I was 12 that looker quest line had me tears, I was so broken. First time I cried over a game
  • It's upsetting that the switch era has gotten rid of repeatable postgame content (like the battle frontier or world cup) in trade for makinh us pay 30+ extra and online content instead of postgame
  • @beythastar
Oh, so I completely missed the post game because I never even noticed my rival after the Battle Maison
  • I didnt know this game had a postgame until 2020. Never discovered it in all of my playthroughs. I actually really liked it
  • I love Gen 6 with all my heart and play X/Y and OR/AS constantly. These games are no where near perfect and have tons of very valid criticisms but at the end of the day they are just plain fun.

X/Y was my first Pokémon game, and I have hours upon hours of nostalgic love for it. Technically, my first ever experience playing Pokémon was Soul Silver, it was my cousin’s copy and she let me play it while I waited for our family to make dinner. My first ever owned game was Pokémon White2, and I never completed it because my 8 year old brain struggled to understand the basic concepts of training more than your starter. But my fondest memories were in X/Y, because not only did I actually beat the damn game, but because I understood the lighthearted story better. Never mind the fact that Lysandre was going to commit genocide on the whole world and Team Flare consisted of extreme supremacists. It’s right next to US/UM as my favorite Pokémon games.
