When i almost loose faith in myself,Gattaca is like a savior,reminded me it is not what we have,but our spirit that matter.Truly an inspiring movie all of time though it is just a scifi.

I like the part when Vincent drops Irene's hair and said "Sorry, the wind caught it".

This was an awesome movie. So glad I finally saw it. Two of my favorite lines- "I belong to a new underclass, no longer determined by social status or the color of your skin. No we now have discrimination down to a science." The other- "They used to say that a child conceived in love has a greater chance of happiness. They don't say that anymore."

the music really supports the emotional lines at some parts. Like "I was never more certain how far away I was from my goal when I was standing right beside it."

Two moments in this film were the most powerful to me. - When Vincent is a little baby and the owner of the kindergarden closes the gate on his family and you hear the "clang" - When Vincent tells Irene "They have got you looking so hard for any flaw, that after awhile that is all that you see". I never cried so hard after than I did during those two moments, even after the 12th time I've seen it. The essence of this movie can be summed up in those two scenes. So powerful, so humbling.

SO MANY GREAT LINES IN THIS FILM. One critique: cutting right before Vincent Anton FREE MAN tells Irene that, "for what it is worth. I am here to tell you that it IS possible. It is possible." That is everything he embodies and represents as a character.

"What other side?" Anton never went anywhere in life he just swam in place in a pool, like a hamster on a wheel. Vincent is the FREEMAN he has traveled to t"he other side"!!!
