I had amazin benefits from LDN. After two years of scary neurologic symptoms and crushing fatigue that left me mostly bed-bound. I finally diagnosed MYSELF and informed my doctor I wanted to try LDN. She agreed w/diagnosis. Was skeptical of LDN but prescribed it because she said it was so safe there was no reason not to try it. We tested my CRP before and at 11 weeks. CRP was chronically elevated. Completely normalized by 11 weeks. I knew before I took the 2nd blood test. The brain fog just lifted. I was able to stay awake the entire day, most days, instead of crashing 2-3 X day/sleeping 16-20 hrs/day. It made a big difference. the key to treating Long Covid is to treat inflammation as early as possible. I wish more doctors understood or cared about this. they all just say "no treatment no cure" meaning to them "not my problem, get out of my office."

Great information but the problem with all I've learned on the internet is finding a doctor that will help you. They are all stuck on bad medical school teachings.

When I had cancer I took a blood test to check what therapies would be most effective for me and this had a high kill rate for my squamous cell carcinoma. Stage 4b to gone

I have long covid and was put on Naltrexone a year ago. It cleared the brain fog in a reasonable amount of time, the energy slowly came back to a fair level, the fatigue improved simultaneously and while I still am a long hauler, it has really helped me with inflammation. My daughter just came through a bout of covid, very severe case for a couple of weeks +, I contracted it of course, but it was extremely mild for me. I didn't know Naltrexone could help in that way. Prior to Naltrexone, the covid/long covid, affected my brain, heart, lungs, kidneys and overall nervous system. I don't know if I can undo the heart, lung, kidney damage, but am grateful to have improving energy, brain fog gone, and evidently some protection from continuing to take Naltrexone.

Wish I could Share this with my Dr. Was on it for awhile, insurance doesn't cover it, I'm dealing with long Covid

I enjoyed that - a really good overview.
  • Q: Type 2 Inflammation… would it work in this area as well? If it is modulation, that it should balance Th1 Th2 axis..?
  • @bjornolson21
This made my brain all sped up feeling and made me highly intolerant to caffeine. I started at like .1mg I believe. When I quit taking it all I could do was sleep. Will be trying again later at even lower dose. Idk if it can help repair my damaged receptors from dysport poisoning though :/

I’m only 7weeks in but I’m having steady healing across all psoriasis flare locations. This has never happened even with Vitamin D and Glutathione therapies. Some progression but can’t hold. Eventually the body ignores the glutathione and in the case of D via UVB is the period of rain or northern winter. It seems LDN is complementing the other two and filling in the gaps, when healing, in the past, would stop and flare
  • @freman75
Do we see patients get into remission when using LDN?
  • I have CFS as well as IBS-C. A few months ago I briefly tried low dose Naltrexone that the rheumatologist prescribed. It seemed to help the CFS symptoms, but even at a low dose that drug caused such unpleasant GI side effects for me that I had to discontinue it before I was even able to reach what he said was the therapeutic dose. Is there any way to take that medication that will help avoid those side effects? Can it be administered by injections or through infusions? (BTW, NAC also adversely affects my IBS symptoms, so can't take that one either...)
  • @privatetatum
Hello! Why do some say LDN shouldn’t be used by people who have heart issues? I can’t get a clear answer. I don’t have a diagnosed heart problem, because they can’t figure it out… thank you for sharing your knowledge!
  • @camarorules1
I took LDN for about 5 months and felt no difference
