The Lego Movie 2 is here! Since I already did The Lego Movie, it felt like a good time to look at the least loved of the 3 lego movies. But there's got to be something good going on in there, right? Here's everything right with The Lego Ninjago Movie!

I like how during the conversation in the forest, Garmadon mentions how he got bitten by a snake. Which in the show: a snake bite was what turned him evil in the first place.
  • I like that jay unlocked his power first because in the show he mastered spinjitzu before the other ninja
  • @NVRMRE
I'll say this about the movie, they definitely gave Lloyd a huge upgrade in the mom department. Koko would beat Misako's ass
  • @ZenoDLC
Fun Fact, using static electricity to shock people is actually a real ninjutsu

5:16 I love how every element lloyd mentions is a reference to the show Gold = lloyd as the golden ninja Wind = a reference to when lloyd was posessed by morrow Fuchsia = a reference to when lloyd as a child washed zane's and kai's outfits together, turning zane's pink for 1 episode

Just gonna say the obvious The Original Cast is the best
  • @blazer3756
The Wu slowly falling dramatically and “dying” always gets a laugh out of me because that ALWAYS happens in the show 😂

"nya didn't need to be chased by 60s flying saucer guys" incredibles reference. "zane didn't need his super suit", frozone reference. "kai didn't need a new zealand accent or a lovable if flawed mentor" firefist/deadpool 2 reference "jay didn't even need his older sister to rip out his eye" thor ragnarok reference. "and cole didn't need 34 other earth benders to move one rock" avatar reference. ~ I'm kinda happy I got them all... or should I be sad cause I think I don't have a life...

I’m thoroughly disappointed that you mispronounced the main character’s name the entire video. Everyone knows it’s pronounced L-Lloyd.

I'm a huge fan of the original show but I also love the movie to death. It's quite clear that the movie and show are from 2 separate universes. Sure there's some overlap and influence but the two are really entirely separate entities, like how comic books and movie adaptions are similar yet different.   Overall the Lego Ninjago movie looked great, was absolutely hilarious, and had lots of heart. I thought it had beautiful animation and an even more beautiful message. Plus, the movie only resulted in more awesome Ninjago content. As a hard core fan how can I complain?
  • My favorite part of this entire movie was the fact that Jay learned his powers first. Alluding to the fact that he did the same in the show.

Speaking of Star Wars vibes, in the show, master wu said,”I sense a disturbance in the force,” at one point.

Even though I wish the movie was more like the show, I love this movie to death, I really enjoy Lloyd's relationship with his father and the movies visuals are just so beautiful and has so many details.

Remember spinjitzu? The reason this franchise exists? Apparently this movie doesn’t
  • @ehi_ij
This is actually basically an exaggerated version of the characters cole being the cool guy Kai being the party or “hype guy” Lloyd in his “coming of age” ways Zane and his well being a robot Nya being the self righteous girl and jay being a wet blanket

The show started when I was 11. I remember watching the first few seasons. Eight years later the show is still going. I'm going to be 19 this year. This is crazy. It was also really cool having a character called Kai. As a kid there were always the standard names on keychains, mugs, and such at gift shops. So seeing the main character at the beginning of the show was always so cool to me.
  • 11:43 Also reference to the show on how Jay was the first of the four ninja to master Spinjitzu
  • @linatwoones
I like how they gave Cole a music related mech it ties into his background in the show
  • @HeartzieHearts
“Jay didn’t even need his older sister to rip out his eye!” Me, understanding that reference: wow. Okay, why am I not surprised?
