  • I love the demon prince fight because it's less like a normal gank fight and more like a tag team wrestling match where the tagged out wrestler is allowed to throw rocks at the guys in the ring

Calling the old demon king forgettable was very surprising to me. His final stand before he gives up is legendary. It's also just a tragic fight. Idk. The ranking is fine, but still

The old demon king is actually the last of the demon race after the bed of chaos was killed no more demons could be created. Which is why he may seem out of place great vid
  • @Bluey2600
this video’s production value is WAY more than i’d expect from a channel with less than 1000 subs, great work!
  • the reason why you can hear ocelot cry is because in the first version of the game, the consumed king actually kills the baby in phase two, but because it was so brutal they had to censor it
  • You deadass ranked Aldrich lower than Wolnir, Gravetender and Deacons.

Slave Knight Gael was around since the age of the Gods and have fought the most bleakest of battles. Years later Gael needed a new purpose. His next goal was to help the painted girl create a new world, which soon to be called "Ash" a cold, dark, and very gentle place. But the girl needed 2 things, one to see flame witch was completed during the fight between sister Freide. And other was the Dark soul of man to use the pigment for the canvas. Gael journey's through the ringed city and leaves messages for you to follow. Gael knew he would not have a safe return. So his plan was for him to find, kill and consume the Pygmys lords and every one that wields a piece of the Dark soul cause the dark soul splits and divides to many souls and to people. Gael needed to make the soul hole again and make the blood his own. Gael knew by leading you through the ringed city and you cracking the egg would take you to the end of time to take the soul from him and bringing it back to his lady. Cause he knew this task would take countless of years and by time the he would have the Dark soul everyone will be dead. So he wants the Ashen one to take the Dark soul back to his lady cause the Ashen one can just travel back in time through the bonfires. In the fight once the player injures Gael, Gael's blood drips on his sword. Gael realizes it's not red but black. Witch shows that the player was the only one strong enough to wound him in countless eons. Once Gael realizes that he's completed his noble goal to resemble the Dark soul he hollows and the 2nd phase he stands for the first time in who nos how long. And the 3rd phase he looses further control and all the death and souls spew out. In my opinion it's the best boss fight from any of the Soulborne games.

Dragonslayer Armor is so underrated. It's unfortunately sandwiched between 2 other great bosses, Dancer and the Twin Princes, but it's such a fun fight. Edit: also, Dragonslayer Greataxe is by far my favorite weapon in the game, maybe even the whole trilogy (sorry, DS1 Zweihander)
  • @Benboostedguy
23:15 pontiff is actually less aggressive when his shadow is alive, this makes the fight much better since as long as the phantom is alive he isnt nearly as agro and it lets the player decide if he wants to fight poniff with or without the phantom, a gank fight that is less agro or a 1 target boss fight that is more agro. I love the duality of the fact, and on top of that, you can also double parry the boss (the phantom and then him) making it so satisfying if you pull it off.

One thing I find overlooked in Gael’s battle theme is that in phase 3, you can hear a leitmotif of the title screen! It’s much faster, and the lead choir has only one voice which sounds much more desolate, but it is there. What an excellent final boss for the entirety of dark souls. Not a god, not a dragon, just a man who never stopped pursuing his goal.
  • @ninidoku
The old demon king is not that bad. His attacks are clearly choreographed. If you kill him directly before/after Wolnir his scaling is ok. Midir also becomes very readable if you fought him often enough which makes him a lot easier. The rest of this list is pretty spot on. By the way, the painting of ariandel DLC is not so bad it also has cool weapons :( Also, the quality of the video is awesome. Well done.
  • @GabryyLG
So glad to see the Twin Princes so high up. I never see people gushing about their fight. The moveset, the soundtrack, the lore, it is my favorite fight in DS3
  • @mqczaros4219
You realise when people said nameless king was hardest boss they meant in base game cos that was the opinion before the dlc came out right?
  • Whats great about Gael is that he feels so cinematic but still is one of the hardest fights while most cinematic fights like the divine dragon are always way too easy
  • @BetaNurse68
I think champion gundyr is confirmed to be in the past since the whole reason he was trapped was he showed up to firelink late and there was no fire or bell and was killed by an unknown warrior (arguably you when you go back to the old firelink) and basically he waits as a judge in the tutorial.
  • @isakts8576
This was very entertaining and pretty informative! Also your editing is SMOOTH
  • @hjs1249
You just appeared on my recommendations and im very satisfied, def subbing for more. And yes it was worth it to read for 1 frame.
  • @jyestevens1785
Very impressive and well planned out video, The inclusion of soundtracks being part of the rankings is such an important feature that many people miss out on so great job :D Commenting so this goes on everyone's recommended page, this video was great
  • @truz8134
Absolutely wild that you only have 500 subs, was expecting 100k off your editing and formatting. Great work man!
