  • I cannot imagine how awesome this army is going to look when completed and we get the complete spread shot, outstanding work!
  • For jobs like the jets I'd recommend whacking a subdivision modifier on them to round them out a bit if you want to avoid the visible tris in the finished model, doesn't really matter and the finished piece looks cool but it's a handy quick fix for rounded, organic shapes. Just be careful to save before doing it and don't whack it up too high or it can crash.
  • @daydam
I LOVE how that looks! The amount of work you put into it really shows, all the custom parts look amazing and the paint job is super cool!
  • @NilCaelum
I LOVE seeing these Tau videos. They have always been my favorite army to see since I was a kid
  • Dave has gone above and beyond with this one, dude. The amount of growth and development that he's shown in 3D modeling in its basic forms as well as getting incredibly creative with it is so inspiring!! It's gotta feel SO good when you can't freaking tell the difference between parts that came in the box and the parts that are homemade! Genuinely brilliant. I'm honestly proud of how far its come so quickly and I can't freaking WAIT to see more of things like this! Any Dave indulgences on the channel always work out so well because the dude just has so much love! I hope you'll forgive my gush, but this was so SO well done, I had to share! Also, nice shirt at 16:00! : D
  • Very convincing thruster sound! Those 3D modelling skills are coming in really handy. Love the result
  • If I ever get into warhammer, I want to make these as my first army or kill team. I absolutely love these designs. Great job!
  • @ovan2190
This is astounding! I love how you were able to use the sakura flower and incorporate it into the gun very cool!
  • @Antheraws
Wow. Dave really has showcased his prowess with MSI. You can really make your models unique. Really impressive work.
  • Video 18 of commenting for Tabletop Time to make a Space Bear version of the Thunderwolf cavalry or Wolf lord on a Thunderwolf. But instead of Thunderwolves they would be Thunderbears and would use the Thunderwolf stats
  • Battle suit came out fantastic. It's amazing how much it's a little prep work can help especially with taking all those measurements.
  • @ElEnanoAr
I know nothing about Warhammer, but god I would love to have that mini on my shelf!

I personally paint my T’au to be clone troopers from Star Wars, even made a few custom figures like three that are for Comms and one that uses a weapon from a crisis suit as a standing mini gun, even added a jet pack to one of my and used the frame of a drone that I shortened him jumping into flying with mud splatter aswell

For those looking for guides on 3D modelling specifically for 3D printing, I highly recommend Artisans of Vaul youtube channel. A lot of 3D modelling tutorial stuff you'll find on youtube is specifically for either animation or 'game ready assets' a lot of which is vastly more detailed than it needs to be if you're just 3D printing for 32mm models. As you can see here, Ngons (shapes with more than 4 sides) are a big no-no in 3D modelling for video games because most engines break it down into Quads and you can end up with funky issues, none of which matters too much for 3D printing so having a Subdivision workflow isn't a 'must have'. Also if you're doing hard surface modelling and are planning to use it a lot I highly recommend the addons of Hardops/Boxcutter and Meshmachine. Cablerator can also be very handy as well.
  • Please do a ghostkeel. It's the best tau model and with your amazing talent and eye for detail you'd blow away any other conversions by miles.
