Wrong, the top three are Liqui Moly, Amsoil, and Motul. My two Independent mechanics (Volvo and Lexus) both recommended Liqui Moly in the correct viscosity for each vehicle. In fact, Liqui Moly developed a specific late-model Volvo full synthetic oil [Special Tec V 0W-20] for Volvos and other vehicles. My 2023 Lexus ES300h uses the Special Tec AA SAE 0W-16. Special Tec V 0W-20 "Fully synthetic superior, low friction motor oil. Developed specifically for use in various late-model Volvo vehicles and also suitable for use in several other manufacturer's vehicles. The low viscosity ensures excellent cold start behavior, improves engine efficiency, and reduces fuel consumption." Special Tec AA SAE 0W-16 "Fully synthetic premium class motor oil with extremely low viscosity, developed specifically to meet the high demands of modern Asian and American gasoline engines. Cutting-edge additive technology guarantees the best wear protection and engine cleanliness, the lowest oil and fuel consumption, and the highest engine efficiency. Ideally suited for engines with direct injection (GDI) and turbochargers."

There are lots of good quality oils out there. But some really good ones are Amsoil, HPL, Redline etc

It seems you did no testing or evaluation, but just listed the manufacturer's talking points. You just earned a thumbs down.
  • Castrol Edge is my favorite Synthetic, but most Synthetic oils are excellent and couple them with a premium oil filter like Wix if you wish to keep the oil in longer.
  • Not one PAO synthetic oil mentioned in the top?????? So none of these can be the top 5 IMO.

Looking at the recommendations I think I know who sponsored this vid

Amazon basics makes the list lol? My favorite oil is Redline. Using that for about 40 years so far in all my cars. Every car I've had at 200,000 miles you could eat off the valve train it was so clean. Its liquid plastic. Only oil I have ever used that makes the engine sound better..quieter.
  • How about some European oils? Or some premium oils like redline etc. There’s no way that Amazon Basics beats out Havoline, Idemitsu & Amsoil.

Amsoil Signature Series 5W30 is all I'll ever use.

I use every oil that was recommended on you tube I change my oil once a year 5000 miles or less.never had sludge.but they all performed the same gas millage didn't change engine ran the same nothing changed .but I always use synthetic and name brands to me they all work the same well over hundred thousand miles runs like new.
  • Someone's opinion and showing NO actual data. I was just curious, and although any of the first four will be sufficient for any modern vehicle, I would not use Amazon oil on my little red wheel barrow tire bushings.
