San Diego Trans County Trail-Salton Sea to Lake Cuyamaca Day 3 - Traversing the Anza Borrego Desert

2023-01-07に共有
This is day 3, the final part of my trip from the Salton Sea to Lake Cuyamaca following the San Diego Trans County Trail or SDTCT. On the last day I went from Plum Canyon to Lake Cuyamaca.

The SDTCT starts at the Salton Sea and finishes at the Pacific Ocean near Torrey Pines State Beach. This is the first half, roughly 85 miles.

Day 3 total - 25 miles, 4,000ft gain.

Trip Total, 85 miles, 10,000ft gain.

SDTCT Mileage-82.5. I had a few extra miles walking to the edge of the Salton Sea and missing a few turns which caused some backtracking.

Thank you for watching.

Desert is gorgeous and the colors in Oriflamme canyon spectacular.
  • Dude great job, you crushed it over the first three days. Really enjoyed seeing this trail and new areas I’ve not seen. Thanks for taking the time to film and edit these for future hikers. Looking forward to the second half!
  • Just finished days 2 and 3. Fantastic job on this hike! Amazing amount of miles you put in! Also excellent videos, great editing! A great accomplishment covering all those miles with so much elevation gain in 3 days! Wow!
  • Great job on the video and on completing this section at such a fast pace. I remember the great views of the desert from Mason Valley TT. But I was going downhill. And on a bike.
  • Brad, I just finished watching all three episodes, this looked like a tough but beautiful hike, great job bro! I’m looking forward to seeing more adventures in the coming year.
  • Congratulations on the Sea to Pines! Did you see anyone on the trail for the 85 miles?
