The only thing that really sticks out to me ( as an advanced rider) is the shoulders . Naturally, we want our eyes downhill so a common habit is pointing the chest downhill as well. This means we counter-rotate on the toe edge, and it slips out . Try taking that lead hand ( when you aren't filming) and keep it on the inner thigh. This will force your head to look over the shoulder heel side and into the toe side turns.

These videos are extremely helpful with my own progress, your attention to detail regarding your technique is great which made me realize a lot about my own riding
  • @KelJud
I’m always watching expert content and it’s really nice to see someone who is around my level because it’s more relatable to me. Glad to have stumbled upon you!

A little late to the party. I Like your videos. There’s a genuine and unpretentious vibe to them. As an advanced boarder of 20 years, learning how to properly carve is about first feeling when you are actually carving vs skidding. Once you understand that feeling it’s about proper body alignment, proper weight distribution to maintain and dig into the carve and lastly proper knee steering for control. I would say the progression is usually in that order. The better you are with each component the better you become with carving. And as far as learning switch, I wouldn’t worry about that unless you plan on hitting the terrain park and start doing spins, etc. and probably only learning switch after you’re able to carve properly in your normal stance. Good luck! Have fun.
  • Very underrated! I had the same issues with carving for a while. keep practicing and having fun!

Awesome snowboarding! Was at belleayre that same day grinding out the blues and blacks!
  • Keep Pumping more. I feel like I am at the same level. But I can also grow. Been doing for 2nd season now.... learning at age 28..not bad...
  • @HumbleMix
Great explanation! It’s very helpful 👍
  • Great video so far! I am buying an insta360 so I can also record my riding. Normally when I do snowboard (and that speaks for myself) it's all me, the board and the mountain. I fell countless times in many different sectors of a ski center and also just under the chairlift. The fact that I do this only for my self joy allows me to kind of forget that it might be people watching and laughing or whatever. Just make it naturally to fall and rise up again so you don't have to feel embarrased when you do so. Keep up the good content!

Love it! i think I'm a similar level (or getting there hopefully!) and this is very encouraging. Dot Nebel looks really steep though, well done! Interesting point you made about not really needing to carve when going faster on green/blues, I will think about that. I agree the grooming on this hill looks great!
  • @purmichal
So unbelievably underrated! Keep pushing and you'll become famous!
  • Dude keep rocking on, get most edge feeling as possible and you will revert to switchcarve 180 out asap!
  • Ok I gotchu. This is the best advice ever check it out. To carve the way you want, what’s holding you back is that right now you’re so focused on being on an edge you are forgetting to “RIDE” the edge. Try on a blue run to point your board down hill and lean like if you were on your toes or your heels. Try to do that the whole,e way down and watch how something in your brain connects. Once you are riding the edge and not forcing to speed check. You will get the carves you want

Great shots, love the editing, as an intermediate myself I haven't tried a black diamond yet but hopefully within the next few days so this was some good hype lol
  • @LaptuaZ

  • @KngMikl

  • @levikaufman7632
love your videos man i recently subbed and cant stop watching, keep it up
  • Keep practicing sir. I am learning the same time and hope to reach your level in the future.
  • @gnarrrrrrrrrrrr
carving is different than the skidded turns that everyone starts out with... it's good to learn the difference as you progress and learn to lock those edges in 💪🤙
