"Thy Kingdom Come" Choral Evensong sung by Worcester Cathedral Choir, directed by Donald Hunt, from St George's Cathedral, Cape Town. Television broadcast on the 17 January 1993 by the South African Broadcasting Corporation.

This gem of a broadcast was discovered in a garage, unplayable due to mould. It was carefully cleaned and restored for the Archive by Richard of https://www.digitalmemories.me.uk

It is easy to forget just how good Worcester Cathedral Choir was during the Dr. Hunt years. Thanks for the memory.

How wonderful to find this recording. I was a chorister in Leeds Parish Church during Donald Hunt's tenure. I was Head Boy from 1964 to 1965, then Counter-Tenor until 1967 when I left England to come to Canada. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Hunt for his training. May God keep him in His care and glory. RIP DFH.

What a wonderful archive recording of Worcester Cathedral Choir at its very best. The Elgar was a particular treat and as ever beautifully interrupted by Dr Hunt. Where are these sounds these days - gone forever - our Cathedral choir's were the envy of the world. So sad!!
