Imagine all the boats that have sank in history that has had pockets of people like this who lasted days and nobody came. That's a scarier thought.
  • @chipsthedog1
I bet even being stuck in that pressure chamber for 60 hours felt like absolute heaven after what he had been through, the will to survive is so strong. I pray this man has a completely boring life from now on he deserves a quiet life if anybody does.

Update: Harrison is now a certified rescue diver and the guy who gave him his certificate was the diver who rescued him
  • @ed8329
I love Harrison's story. He is now a rescue diver!! Insane how if he had escaped the sinking ship, he probably would have been lost at sea and drowned. No way would they have found him swimming in the high seas.
  • @emilydotbug
The story of the guy surviving in the air pocket of the sunken ship has always baffled me the footage of him being found is so crazy. That man is truly blessed
  • @jeffgarrison7056
The look on his face when he was rescued made me cry. Stories like this make me grateful to be alive and well!
  • @MissGumShoeMeg
The look we first see on Harrison’s face (first story) broke my heart & made me tear up. I’ve never seen someone look so scared. God bless him, his rescuers and everyone that perished in the sinking ship. I never could’ve been so strong.

One of the craziest parts about Harrisons story, is that someone calculated how much air was in that pocket, and they estimated it would be enough for a human to survive approximately 60 hours in... almost exactly at the point that they located him. So not only was he freezing, starving, dehydrated, and possibly hallucinating he was on the brink of death from CO2 not to mention the immense fear and trauma in that situation.
  • @smirks1014
Watching Harrison when he was found, you can see the fear in his eyes and body, but, still see a massive relief that he is found. I can't imagine something like that.
  • @autumnrose6389
Harrison has lived an actual nightmare. The clip when he was found was hard to watch without getting emotional.
  • @tbuckyfilms
The fact that Harrison was in desperate need of rescue but he still managed to consider not wanting to scare the diver just blows my mind. Had I been in that situation k would have FREAKED out and grabbed on to the guy probably scaring the hell out of him. But no, he kept his composure and took into consideration the diver's reaction to finding him. What an absolute Chad. What an absolute HARRISON!
  • @MaternalUnit
The story of Harrison will stay with me for a long time. It's so remarkable that there is actual footage of him in his small airspace. I'm so glad he had a loving wife to go home to. I'm sure he continued to suffer from the trauma, but it sounds like she is the type of person who would do all she could to help him. I hope they have found comfort. 🙏

I'm old enough to totally be your mom (I'm 53) and let me tell you: you've got a real gift as a spoken word artist. You know how to paint a picture with words. My husband (who won't watch any scary movies at all because he hates disturbing graphics as they give him nightmares) loves listening to your stories. You've completely captivated the both of us with your stories!
  • @sarahpeyton5431
The Harrison O’Kene story is literally the craziest, most terrifying shit I’ve ever heard.
  • @ashleynagy3617
I saw an episode of "I Survived" that talked about Deborah and brads being lost at sea story. It had to have been so agonizingly painful to watch your friends be eaten by sharks right underneath you. I couldn't even imagine the fear
  • The Deborah Kiley story was actually told by her on a video of “I survived” and it’s insane to hear it from her view. The pain in her voice and you can see her reliving it in her eyes as she tells the stories.
  • @loganogden3603
That look on Harrison's face when he's unbelievably, inconceivably, somehow.... rescued... It makes you want to weep with both joy and sadness. Joy that this poor man was saved, sadness that anybody should have to go through something like that. I really hope that incredible man has found happiness and fulfillment in his life. He deserves it.
  • @13Badseed
Holy shit! I can't believe you are covering Harrison's story! Harrison actually became a commercial diver after this experience, and I did my training at the same school where he did his! I have met him and have him on Facebook. Great guy!
  • I can’t even imagine how terrifying this must have been for Harrison. The darkness, the cold, the noises, the predators.
  • @SM-McKraken
I watched the video of the divers who entered the sunken ship Harrison was in, they were there to locate bodies and no one was expecting to find a survivor. It's really amazing footage and found here on youtube. It's such a happy moment when they pop up into an air bubble in the ship to find Harrison, who thought he was hallucinating when he first saw them.
