  • “so you need a balance of dopamine in your brain to have an appropriate response to risk” laughs in adhd
  • Gotta appreciate channels like these continuing to provide real and factual information, spearheading against false information. There's nothing more infuriating than when people lie, especially on matters that are important and impactful.
  • I appreciate you guys contributing to my continuing quest for knowledge . I was wondering if you could do some episodes on PTSD and Complex PTSD . The more I understand my " dis -eases " the better I am able to deal with them . THANK YOU !
  • @ziqi92
Currently learning how to draw up boundaries against my parents' toxic behaviors. I needed this. Thanks.

so this is why it is so easy to get into flow state when programming, you constantly gets feedback by running the script and you have clear goals and it is challenging
  • @Emilieeeee1
This is exactly what I needed since I have been stressed out for days 😓
  • @h7opolo
7:37 i can confirm the "REM rebound" phenomenon. whew. some intense, vivid, memorable dreams
  • @Nullzeros
Brain and stress? “Laughs in maddening stress” Also my brain “I’m in danger”
  • @DaveSomething
"what's in the box?! what's in the box?!" "oh, a puppy, okay!"
  • I have felt the FLOW while doing my art . It's a wonderful and satisfying feeling . Doing what one loves !
  • @SirLightfire
When writing code, flow is so easy for me to achieve, I have to be careful about late night programming. Because I can, and have, multiple times, pulled accidental all-nighters
  • @chrism8180
It's pretty clear the modern society doesn't GAF about stress levels until it affects profit
  • @plursocks
"It's hard for researchers to reliably find situations that create flow" They obviously don't know anyone with ADHD. Scan my brain while I'm doing my research sometime. I'm on hour six and still going strong.

"The Zone ", is helpful when studying. I have been blessed to find cannabis to help with migraines, Chronic Migraines. Needing to study for a big class I found it did use a little bit. I always just use a little bit because, I don't want it to stop working for my medical needs. My experience for studying took the fear on not understanding, allowing my brain to worry and my decreasing brain of function compared to what I had before my mild-Stroke. I have also seen improvement in my capacity from the time right after the Stroke, as of now it is improving.

I've been dealing wiht severe depression and other mental health issues (chronified ED, AVPD, cPTSD, anxiety issues...) for decades. I have lots of vivid and gruesome nightmares that I remember more than I would like. And I can't tell how much I miss it to experience flow. Has been years.... great video

My daughter and I are in equine therapy. The picture of the woman and horse snuggling is so right. That seems to be when my healing occurs the most.
  • I still kind of stand by the unproven idea that dreams follow your thoughts and expectations. I've lucid dreamt before, and there's a very clear connection between what I expect/want to happen and what actually happens in those dreams.
  • @jamesdahmer5027
I quite like this concept, and really really need to see your cited resources, this could explain a lot!
