Eating everything at Disneyland Hong Kong. It was magical.

Published 2022-06-12
I ATE THROUGH HONG KONG'S DISNEYLAND, so you don't have to. I didn't do many of the dine in restaurant options, but I did try to go to a vending cart or snack stand at every world at the Hong Kong Disneyland. Please bear in mind that Hong Kong Disneyland isn't that big, so there are only 7 worlds: Main Street, USA; Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Mystic Point, Adventureland, Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. I tried some classics, like the Mickey Mouse doughnuts, turkey leg, the frozen treats, churros, and the Dole Whip "lookalike", but also got some Hong Kong specific foods like korean squid, egg puffs, and more!

When I was growing up, my parents didn't really ever buy me amusement park or movie theatre food because it was so expensive, so I thought, why don't I try all the snack food at Disneyland so if you can splurge, then you know what items you should buy (and avoid).

Being a Disneyland food newbie, let me know how I did! What were some things that I missed out on that I should most definitely go back to try next time? Let me know in the comments below!

About HUMID WITH A CHANCE OF FISHBALLS TOURS:

“If you like our name, you’ll like our tours” is their motto.
Founded in late 2016, Humid with a Chance of Fishballs Tours is a small grassroots independent company that strives to offer authentic and off-the-beaten path tours so tourists and expats alike can get a taste and glimpse of true local life in Hong Kong.

We run tours in Hong Kong for people that truly want to see the real, true, local and authentic sides of Hong Kong. The stories and information we want to share is about the hole-in-the-wall owners, and about the local foods that have so much history and importance to Hong Kong. We go into shops that don't speak a lick of English, because we bridge the gap between the West and the East. Eat through Hong Kong's heritage, culture and tradition with us!

Love the fish balls rating system. Staying on brand for sure.

That was a lot of food for one day. I went there in 2017. I’m in my 60s and still a child at heart when it comes to Disneyland. I focused on the rides, but did eat and it was a very hot and humid day, so those indoor rides in air conditioning were great.

Thanks for eating through HKDL, I rarely spend my time eating during my visit; I am too busy shopping and lining up for the rides. I always hit up Mystic Manor attraction; only HKDL has it. They don't have the Haunted Mansion because in Chinese culture, we don't speak ill of the dead for they will haunt us.

What a fun video! Love to see the differences of HK Disney foods compared to what we have here in the U.S. Thank you for eating your way through and giving us your fishball opinions/ratings although I am not a fan of blue foods.
  • @PanicRamsay
Love your energy Virginia! It was neat seeing the food offerings HK Disney has. You should probably adjust the mic gain for the next video though. Audio sounding extra crispy lol.

Dole Whip is more like a more dense soft serve with a very strong fruit flavour (usually pineapple, but they have lots of other flavours too). Thanks for sharing the HK snack options in Disneyland
  • The Disney's in U.S. are sooooo much more expensive. You would literally go into shock if you seen how much it cost to snack/eat at the ones here. Turkey leg converted to HKD from USD = 108 HKD. 1 Turkey leg
  • @migiboinkers
Have been to Disney HK twice but never really paid attention to the food offerings hehe. Maybe because the food in theme parks is generally pricey. Thanks for sharing your day though. Looks like you had loads of fun. :)

What a fun video. Thanks for sharing your day Virginia. Sorry that it was so hot and uncomfortable. I went to HK Disneyland once back in 2007. I assume a lot has changed since then. My Mom works at Disneyland in California and she was able to get me in for free when I was there for holiday. And my goodness all that food. You must have had a food coma. 🤤 lol 😂.
  • @subaman95
OMG.... that is so much food. Did you really eat all that by yourself? Are you hinting about starting a mukbang channel? LOL. Great video! Love it
  • @josepheria5417
Thank you so much for the video i miss disneyland and Hongkong
  • @midala40
Hi!!! Happy to see you, Virginia.
  • @kwonster3957
It has been a long time since I have been to Disney Land!! Definitely, this is a place to go to in the near future! Nice to see that it has a bit of western and Hong Kong mix to the food. Just wondering..do all of the people who sell things speak English? Thanks for the wonderful intro even in the hot and humid temperature! Looking forward to the next video.
  • @jaysonfu5247
Fun fact, I live in Hong Kong and I been to Disneyland a few times. The food there is good but it’s very expensive compared to normal :)

Hi Virginia! 😃 Love your channel, and I've been loving all the recent regular content. It's so entertaining! I'm not sure whether it's my phone quality, or my TV, but sometimes the audio is 'crackly'? I can hear all audio, but it sounds like it's windy all the time. Keep up the great content. I can't wait to take my family to Hong Kong and book a food tour with you. 💗
  • I wish we had the Mickey egg puffles here! But I guess we do have the dole whip instead(I usually get a pineapple dole whip swirl float). HKDL is definitely small compared to WDW and DL/DCA, but still unique. I remember taking the Disney themed MTR over there. Having the mountains in the background doesn't hurt either. They also specifically had the haunted houses during the Halloween events, which I wish they had over here in the U.S. Halloween events.
