it’s here!!1!!!!1!!
with all my love i present to you: "music for bugs" the complete album

i’ts been an awesome project to work on, and the first one i did of this kind (my first album). it started with me messing around, after finally having some free time. i was drawing bugs because i love them, and then i thought “hey it would be nice to add some music”. i didn’t have any kind of long term project in mind with this, but when i finished with that early tortoise beetle i was like “this is nice, i could make more”, and that’s what i did.
at first i wasn’t very clear about the sound idea and i just did what the bug inspired me to do, but as i kept composing it started to sound more cohesive, like there was a unique style for this.
i was actually scared about that when i decided to make an album, i thought it would sound like many unrelated things mashed together. but to my surprise it didn’t and other people told me the same thing, so yeah that’s cool.

to be honest i don’t have much more to say, i’m still kinda shocked that i’m releasing something like this and that there’s people out there that enjoy it, even if they are few.
and speaking of that, i would like to thank some of them, some of the little humans of this big world that took their time not only to appreciate what i do, but also to express in words what it made them feel.

Hearing the chirping of birds to a bug would be the equivalent to having death screams in a human song, so this would be metal for bugs.

It's so cute that someone dedicated a whole album to bugs. They are usually forgotten ❤

Me listening to this and loving it: Perhaps I am the bug.

You don't have to be a bug to enjoy this beautiful music.
  • @Sylentmana
Wish I were an isopod. No mortgage, no bills, no taxes. Just moss.
  • @AnzuMiruku
The fact you woke up and decided you were going to make music for bugs. I love you.

this music feels like the soundtrack for a quiet little farming game. It makes the child in my soul happy
  • I am a proud isopod owner, and I thought the upbeat little piano and woodbox drum tune you wrote for isopods fit their tightknit social, yet unhurried little lives perfectly. I just imagine them derpin' around, playing slapsies with each other's antennae when listening to it. Adorable! Your album brings me joy and peace, so thank you for creating it!

I’m crying this is quite literally the most beautiful heartwarming music I’ve ever heard ❤

As an isopod, I confirm the track called "isopod" deeply represents us, and we totally accept this artistic viewpoint.

I love the diversity of bugs here. You don't just have bumblebees and butterflies, but include moths, spiders, and weevils! It's awesome to see some of the more stigmatized bugs get the limelight

you dont even know. this fills me with such unbridled joy and whimsy i feel like i could just be a little bug a little moth buzzing around a lamp right now and that is all i wish for in life. thank you
  • This is absolute art! I can't describe how happy it makes me when people compose something truly unique and special! I love this so much! I am so glad this was recommended to me

This album has the whimsical energy of being a kid and searching for various bugs in your backyard due to a love for these little guys. With each of the additional sounds on top of the beautiful piano being relevant to the bug. The wood of the weevil, the pebbles in the isopod, the shine and sparkle of the bee, all extremely fitting. And sometimes utilizing the nature sounds outside of ambience, such as in scarab where the bird noises blends seamlessly into the quieter piano melody is so good.

this album was very peaceful and fun, it allowed me to enter a deep restful state where I developed an armored thorax and powerful mandibles. I can now do all of the crimes, and no one can stop me

This is actually insane that you composed this whole album, you can really hear how this music links to nature. it should be in a ghibli movie!
