Hi There, I would need your help to set up my Onkyo TX NR 6100 brand new l got it as a gift 4 years ago and never got to use it. Still in the box. I would need your help to set it up with my Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV Speakers that have both the input that comes from the amp and the output that goes to the cube speakers at the back of the sub. I have two sets of the Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV Speakers and would like to use the front and rear speaker output of the TX NR 6100 like an integrated amp for playing music as well as watching my cinema. Thank you for your help.

Another way to test which speaker wire is which, is to tie the two wires together on one end, and use a multimeter on the other end to test continuity.
  • I need some assistance. I have cable box and a Roku, should both connect through the receiver first. But, when we want to just watch news or a TV show without going through all of our speakers how would we make this connection? We’d just like to use the TV’s speakers for news programs and regular TV shows. And is it possible to set up the receiver so that when we turn on the Roku box it “triggers” the receiver to come on automatically? Our receiver is a Marantz SR5010. Thx

Does assignable on my AV receiver means that I can connect an external amp to the receiver? I have a Pioneer VSX-LX303 and would like to connect a cell DAC from PS Audio. The reason I want to do this is because I first bought the Pioneer to watch movies, later I bought a PS Audio equipment and now I would like to integrate both. Thank you in advance.

I have an old-fashioned stereo where the speakers have plugs at the end of the wires.. the plugs do not fit into the plug holes in the back of the new receiver. Can I buy some adapters to put on the plugs on the end of the speaker wires so that they can plug in to the back of the receiver. Thank you.

Can you tell me if I have a part of my Onkyo AVX HT R560 receiver shot? We came home from a vacation during which there was a power outage. Some of the settings were not as they were when we left but upon returning I could get no sound from the receiver in TV/CABLE mode. DVD and FM radio comes through. DVD is connected by Component cables and the TV/cable and Roku stick with HDMI. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My receiver seems to be missing the part/knob that you “backed up the terminal” to insert the speaker wire into. What’s a replacement part for that called?

Did you use an HDMI Earc connection or optical cable connection for your audio?

So how do you push banana plugs thatg everybody buy and connect the speaker wiress into them for simplicity of instalation that is sold and bought and everybody shows how great they are and simple they are. I don't get it. I got sick of fishing them speaker wires into them slots and so I bought them banana plugs only to find out... that it is total hog wash bullshit. They never fit into them caps or whatever they are called.
  • Bro wat is the battery for9 volt if it makes a noise watabout it also wats the tone generator do if it beeps wats that mean
  • I have a Denon 970H and a LG OLED C2 with E-arc. Also 7 surround sound Bose speakers. What's wrong with plugging in the HDMI cable into the E-arc ports on my TV and receiver?? How is it screwy?
  • I honestly hate ARC as well. ARC is perfectly fine for a basic system I wouldn't advise it with Samsung brand TVs. They work fine for a while then just drops out. I typically use a Toslink cable for the audio from the TV to the receiver. I typically enable ARC but disable the CEC option if I can with other brand TVs. I always recommend to the customer to get a Roku, Firestick or AppleTV.
