Some people say that our Twitter account is the Venator Class Star Destroyer of social media. Those people are insane because that makes no sense at all. But maybe follow us anyways, just in case there's an element of truth in there. twitter.com/TemplinEdu

In Legends, those ships faced much more dignified end. They were send for conservation at the Deep Core and gifted away to Empire's allies and protectorates, like Corporate Sector. They were also used as flight academies. And after free-for-all war between Imperial warlords have begun, those venerable ships saw combat service again. Honestly, given how many of them were build, I wouldn't be surprised if they will become similar to Dreadnought - a staple of Mid- and Outer Rim fleets for generations to come.

We really are in a clone wars mood recently aren't we? Please keep it coming

The Venator is the peak of the Star Wars esthetic. It is such a magnificient ship that is also quite utilitarian.
-
Truly one of the finest warships the galaxy has ever seen, a reflection of not only the Republic but also the Grand Army and the Clone Wars
-
3 things I like about the Venator that come to my mind: 1) The way smaller aircraft take off/enter the ship. 2) Some of the ship's controls are in trenches on the bridge. 3) Paint job that stood out (during the Republic era)

Those closing lines, man….. chills

The Venator was a jack of all trades (literal) spearhead. Equally flexible and efficient. The perfect combination of attributes to found a new navy. Somewhere between a carrier and a heavy cruiser, it could compensate for individual strength through numbers. Perhaps it’s for the best that the Venator’s legendary image was not too thoroughly tarnished by the Empire’s hubris, who squandered such an efficient design in exchange for excessive firepower.

Such a beautiful ship.

"Don't be ridiculous Lieutenant. Why would we want guns on the bottom? No one ever attacks the bottom of a ship." - Dead Star Destroyer Captain
-
"The Republic never had its own navy until the Clone Wars. It always depended on the home fleets to supply what was necessary." - Jan Dodonna
-
The finest Warship the republic ever constructed. Long live the Liberation and her crew!

The Venator is the jack of all trades Star Destroyer in Star Wars. The most venerable capital ship in the Clone Wars. If I was an Imperial Captain or Admiral I'd command a Venator over the Imperial. It's just that beautiful and legendary of a warship.

Didn't even realize how recently this posted. I have to say the aesthetic of TTI's videos with the visuals and tone of the voice is most synergistic on this platform. The lessons and representation from the Institute forever influence my Sci-Fi exploration and creative writing.

One of my favorite ships from Star Wars. I love it way more than the Imperial Star Destroyer
-
The vehicles and ships of the Republic are truly amazing!

This class is like the gold standard for balanced power projection spacecraft; she's not a specialist, but because she's not, if you are pressed for time and resources and cannot afford to wait to get craft out to war, this is exactly the sort of craft you would make. I mean, she can do orbital assault, invasion, ship killer, blockade work, cargo ship, and star fighter carrier... it's hard to think of something the class can't at least do, even if not perfectly. Honestly, I'd rather have to supply 4 of these to kill a Victory Class than take the hit in capability that using only the Victory would entail.

Hear me out: “Venator: A Star Wars Story” - a story about the lead ship of the Venator-class that survives the Clone Wars, serves as a training ship during the Empire before its crew defects to the Rebellion after Alderaan was destroyed, and becomes a new Rebel cell called “Venator Squadron” and have a story akin to that of the Battlestar Galactica.
-
Ahh the Venator. A ship that could do just about anything decently enough. The T-34 of Star Wars.

The Venator will always be my favourite Star Wars ship, and it deserves all the love it gets and more
