I wouldn't say that we work longer, harder or for less money, thousands of years ago the average person worked all day, needed to make everything per hand, without any safety measures and didn't get payed much, in many countries people have been literally slaves and only citizens would get rights, farmers for example were property of their lord

My parents don’t let me wear pajama pants when we have guests over because it’s “rude” and “disrespectful”. They make me put on pants that I would normally wear outside the house. It’s uncomfortable and apparently pointless.
