That pilot will never go another flight without his co-pilot saying “you sure this is the right strip?”
-
"No one was hurt except the pilot's pride" lol
-
lmao imagine just chiling at a tiny airport and a gigantic military plane just lands right infront of you
-
Next: USAF lands in China, thinking it’s Japan.
-
2:48 "The air force have confirmed that it's one of their planes." Oh really? It looked like an Emirates flight to me.
-
pilot must have gotten his ass kicked when he got back to base

I’ve done approaches into MacDill AFB for runway 23 many times and I can see how the AF pilot may have mistaken the wrong airfield for landing. Peter o Knight’s runway 22 lines up nearly perfectly with runway 23 at MacDill and it’s easy to confuse the two runways, especially if you’re doing a visual approach on final for runway 23 at MacDill, aren’t familiar with the area, and the Peter O Knights airfield being uncontrolled. Glad to hear the pilots landed safely and were able to take back off again. Definitely a call sign review is in order lol.

back door opens military hops out and starts shooting Pilot: Wait, this isn't the right place. Military: shit.

See you after 8 years, when YouTube recommends this video to us again.
-
"they've confrimed it's one of their planes" me: oh wow i wonder how probably because of the ABSLOUTLY GIGANTIC USAF LOGO ON IT.
-
1Pilot:say I won’t land here 2Pilot:you won’t 1Pilot:bet 2Pilot👁👄👁
-
the pilot probably felt how I felt when I would walk into the wrong class in high scool
-
Me an air traffic controller: there’s no way News: there was no control tower Me: okay now it makes sense
-
Plane: *Taxis past Cessna which could fit inside one of it's engine. Pilot: "Uhh, I don't think this is the airbase..."

As if those pilots couldn't have been anymore embarrassed, they weren't transporting pallets of beans, they had none other than Gen. James Mattis, commander of CENTCOM, onboard. Imagine THAT feeling - landing at the wrong strip with a four-star general onboard. Fortunately, Mattis was a champ about it and said: "The young pilot did a good job landing, albeit on the wrong strip," and "Some young guys made a human error, and hopefully they'll recover and enjoy long and illustrious careers." What a fucking BOSS.

saw a small runway and was like "challenge accepted"

December 2023. Idk why but YT has just recommended me that video without any reason. Greetings from Poland and have a great day! ;)

I think it would've been a hell of a lot funnier if the Air Force did NOT confirm it was their plane. If they were just like "we don't know whose plane that is >_> <_<"
