Nice stuff man! That ice crusher reminds me of the SSI PRI - MAX!
  • The horn speaker is from the late 70's. Be careful plugging it into your phone as it's fitted with a mono plug. As the phone has a stereo socket, the right channel gets shorted out. You only hear the left channel through the speaker. That model of Kambrook powerboard came out around 1980 and they were not cheap compared to today. Surviving examples usually need the neon replaced and the switch mechanisms need a bit of clean up. As for the handheld CB, the reason for 10 AA cells is because when you use NiCd cells, the terminal voltage is only 1.2V per cell, thus 10 are needed to get 12V. The radios were supplied with two dummy cells to use with carbon zinc or alkaline cells, otherwise it gets fed with 15V. I couldn't see the soldering iron clearly enough, but the clamp around the barrel suggests it might be a Lotring. The clamp is meant to have a small stand attached to it. Undoing the clamp allows the element to be unplugged and replaced. It looks similar to a 50W model I have.
