So, I watch another nail person on here, who did an video involving a rubber base coat that did some serious damage to someone's nails. Based on the info presented there, it seemed that the product was horrible for nails and I believe many people (including myself) have avoided that company because of that video. You explaining the ph level and the thickness of a product that is higher in acidity could cause a burn- well, that makes so much sense and sadly, lots of use are thinking the product is bad and the company is worse for offering something that we believe to be nothing but dangerous. Thank you for a technical look at something so complex.
  • Thank you so much! I have learned a lot from this video. It’s so hard to find nail tech who has a lot of knowledge like you. ❤️🙏🏼

Very informative video 👍 I struggle primarily with lifting when I have a fibre glass repair underneath. I have Reumatoid Arthritis and the medicine makes my nails thin and brittle. So I often need to repair a broken nail with fibre glass. I've tried several brands but they all pose a challenge at making the colour gel stick.

Such a great video, thanks very much!
  • Love this video. What hard gel did you use to seal the tips at the 14:49 marker in the video? Looks like it starts with "Pr..."

i'm kind of confused though. First thing i did is apply thin layer of rubber base coat, second is sealing the tip with hard gel, then file the tip. third applying a rubber base overlay ( i did not seal the tip with rubber base during this step), fourth i applied color. the next step got me confused, so its okay not to seal the nail tip with top coat, since i already sealed the nail tip with hard gel? What i also wanted to know, just for precaution. I wanted to make sure there's no lifting. so is it okay to file the underneath of the nail, then apply base coat on the surfase of the nail then do the next procedure ( sealing the nail tip with hard gel, overlay rubber base and color application on the nail surface) then apply the topcoat on the surface and on the underneath of the nail?

2:17 NOT perpendicularly, go parallel to the nail plate or you'll drill straight down into the nail plate.
