  • I pray that the firefighters will succeed in putting it out soon and that the homeowners will be taken care of in the interim.

I've been thru 2 bad forest fires and I know the fear and anxiety associated with them. I am sending my heartfelt prayers for you all. In the end all you need are toiletries, water, your electronics, pets, meds, a few changes of clothes, your documents and maybe a few valuables like jewelry or photos. Nothing is worth staying to save. Just load up your vehicle and flee. God be with you!
  • Wonderful the insurance companies will have an excuse to triple insurance rates for all the people who are over 500 miles away.

The answer is prescribed fires but for some reason that is not getting done.

There are over 500,000 acres of land on fire in Alaska as of July 28, 2024. This doesn't seem to concern too many people...

I am so happy that we moved out of California after we lost everything due to the Paradise Campfire.

Let's be accurate in your reporting: He was arrested but is now out on bail! He also has several felonies in his past. This is not a nice man.

And isn't it sad California just declared war on unhoused people! Good luck to all!
  • All of you reporters are going into outer darkness away from man and God with the people that you work for FOREVER
  • My support and accolades to the US Forrest Service firefighters for their hard work. Does that have such a lowest pay in comparable to all other firefighters??😢
  • This is how it's been since the eighties in Cali.... Periods of long, prolonged drought, interrupted by brief periods of flooding rain causing heavy undergrowth that fuels wildfires when drought returns in 18 months

"Areas with no fire history..." Smokey Bear and the USFS did this.

Dude steals a car and tries to get rid of the evidence, accidentally starts biggest wildfire of the year and be like "hot damn" as the continent burns.
