Small nitpick completely missing the point: He could not have disconnect-glitched past the lava pit during the first waterfall timer puzzle, since it was a multiplayer world so the timer would have continued while he was disconnected. Admitedly, in "canon" Wiffies doesn't know it is a multiplayer world at that point, but still
