Doug's the kind of guy if you smashed a pie in his face he would announce the flavor

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this impressed with any car. The amount of thought and detail they’ve put into the design of this car is so impressive.

Doug does an amazing job reviewing cars. His reviews are extremely detailed and thorough in explaining everything.

Kudos to Lucid for having physical buttons, a smooth screen gives you no feedback which makes you take your eyes off the road to make sure you are pressing the right button

Do not tell me this car wasn’t made for Doug… Easter eggs, manual vents, buttons for AC. Well played Lucid, who ever you are.
  • @1antisupercat
I saw one in person today and was impressed how wide and long it looked. I’d say it is way cooler in person than on the internet.
  • Actually Doug, I prefer switches/buttons because of the tactility. Having to look down or over when driving can be dangerous. In my cars I don’t have to take my eyes off of the road to turn on the AC etc. I’m strongly considering this whip though. Thanks for reviews!

11:50. I don’t think Lucid is doing this to “transition” people to touch screens. It is correct to keep fan speed, temperature, and volume as touch buttons as they are the most adjusted things in a car.

My honest opinion is that buttons are way superior over screens, yea packing away features that are rarely used to clean up the interior is nice, but the climate controls, seat controls, mirror controls, reading lights and similar stuff you quickly wanna flick on, or adjust when reversing, switching driver, and cooling down/heating up as you feel cold or hot Edit: Wow, it definitely doesn’t seem like I’m alone in my disgust of replacing traditional well made and really useful buttons with a cheapish feeling screen, I wish traditional manufacturers like Mercedes would stick with their beautiful well designed button filled interiors to stand out in the future

Lucid is the quiet kid in the school who watches and learns from everyone's mistakes and delivers the best. It would be hard for LUCID if came in 2015 but in 2022 it's overall a good car.

This is clearly the most advanced car ever produced. It’s the ultimate dream car. The amount of range you get for all the interior space and storage space available is astonishing. How did they do it?! I’ve never been this impressed with a car. Can’t wait to get one!

I can't imagine a greater pain than using a touch screen to turn your windshield wipers on. Digitalizing everything in the cars is going too far.
  • @Matys1975
This car is extremely impressive, particularly on the inside. I have seen this car in person and it’s amazing for a company that has never made a car, honestly.
  • @Tordenstjerne
As usual a VERY entertaining review with such a positive feel to it. Whenever i feel "blue" or tired i put on a Doug show. AND i don't even have a car NOR a licence. That's some quirk isn't it! :)
  • @bobbender5858
I really enjoy Doug’s reviews. He’s very enthusiastic and he’s very thorough.
  • @at0mly
Physical Buttons for common functions are better than screens, though. It's just better UX to have consistent controls that don't move and have a specific purpose and to have physical controls ergonomically tailored to their function. I hope they never get rid of them.
  • @JasonLastName
One of the best designed and thought out vehicles I’ve seen in a long while. The industry needed this car! Happy to see it in production after all these years. Congrats to Lucid!
  • @johnj3577
This thing is soo much nicer than the bland Tesla look, especially inside. Its stunning with great use of different colours and materials. I'd love to own one of these in this colour combo.
  • @dustinryan1336
I love all the buttons and screens! The left small vehicle control screen is awesome!
