When the one guy talks about how his mother is a bigwig in law enforcement and then as an aside says "This is the first time I've been in handcuffs", I have to wonder if his mother's position always bailed him out before.

I have to say that Greg summed it up in a pithy oneliner. Added to his famous, "The organism does what made the organism successful", he now has added " These guys are reptiles that can hide in plain sight and wait for a victim". So very true, and yet so deeply unsettling.

I had Chases "secret" talk with my eldest daughter from very, very early on. I found out what my husband was planning to get me for Christmas when she was 4 because he told her then said it was a Secret and not to tell me. She ran screaming from the garage to tell me. I told him to use Surprise when talking about presents 😂😂

Should go without saying but NEVER make your child hug or kiss someone, relative or not, who they do not freely want to.

It's absolutely outrageous that these predators get such light sentences even as little as probation for preying on children. A shame our legal system is so corrupt.

In reference to what Chase said about if- as a child- an adult asks you to keep a secret...my mum was a primary school teacher in the UK (5-7yr olds) and she would ALWAYS tell her students that if an adult told them that something was a secret or not to tell anyone else...that she was the exception to that and that they could tell her. She made it sound like it was part of her role as a teacher and they could tell her ANY secret. She would also get little kids to practise screaming at the top of their lungs, things like "this is not my mum/dad...somebody help me!" I like to think she helped a few kids this way.
