Sir Christopher Lee's Count Dracula is the best representation of the character from the classic novel. Also, unlike the Hammer Dracula films with Sir Christopher Lee, the vampires in this film can shapeshift and vanish. Myself, being of English and Romanian blood, give this version of Bram Stoker's classic tale four wolf paws, four bat wings and four fangs. 🐺🦇⚰Many thanks, Monster Movie Night!

I checked out Wikipedia since I'd never heard of this film before, and it apparently got mostly bad reviews when it first came out. Don't know why. I think critics were expecting a horrific portrayal of Dracula as in the Hammer films, and were disappointed. it is more suspenseful drama than blaring horror, but this is a classic! Lee and Kinski TOGETHER in a Dracula movie!

I love this movie - one of my favourite versions along with the 2006 BBC version. This is a very restrained Jesus Franco and all the better for it
