  • Not a courtesy clerk but why on earth is the union not fighting for them to get sick/personal/vacation if they are paying ~5% or more of their check towards the union? Make it make sense.
  • For part time employees union dues significantly decrease my bimonthly salary. I am seriously considering quitting due to this.
  • @frkrusinme
Yes, as a part-timer, I pay 10-15% of my pay in union dues.
  • @lisacutts9587
It was also not fair that ex Shop n Save employees lost half their vacation. When u make that Fair we can discuss other inequities.
  • So why the hell are we negotiating for a measly $1 a YEAR for our dues to go up?? Insurance, food, gas and now DUES are increasing. Dave you’re gonna have to do A LOT more for us to have a livable wage. People are gonna quit by the masses and once those people are gone, then the amount of dues coming in will dwindle. Fight for us AND the courtesy clerks!!!
  • @harryj435
You make almost 200k a year by taking money from us. Take a pay cut
  • I'd like to see the union's balance sheet to understand what our dues are paying for before I can vote yea or nay. According to my calculations, full time partners contributed $2.6 million in union dues last year. Part time partners maybe half of that. So that gives the union almost $4 million. Our insurance is paid by our employer. What is this money spent on? Is this money spent "fairly and equitably"? We need more info before you try to make me believe i need to be fair. 40+ years of this has made me realize life isn't fair.

I didn't see a link that I could open explaining the dues structure. I hope it includes all members including the executive board. I don't have a problem with an equitable dues increase, I get it. We have seen a virtual revolving door of part-time associates and I am sure that with that, we are not generating an adequate amount of dues revenue at the part-time level. Hopefully there will be more retention in the future. I thank you for your hard work on our behalf and all the work the executive board and staff do to make us an effective Union. Please share the link mentioned in the video. Thanks again and keep up the open dialogue.
  • We are all underpaid and most are overworked. I agree. You need to negotiate better deals. We are not aligned at all with the cost of living
  • @WilliamKarraker
Was it fair that I lost 3 weeks vacation when Schnucks bought SNS. After 34 years in the union I receive 2 weeks vacation. You said in your video that full-timers get 5 weeks vacation. Not in my case Dave. You’ve been fighting for us. How about all the contracts we received .25, .25, .25 yearly raises. Wow 75 cents over 3 years. That has happened numerous contracts. 655 goes to Lake Of The Ozarks yearly with our union dues to get drunk. Great way to spend our dues. I have not seen a 655 business rep in over two years. We came to work during Covid. Did you guys come to our stores to see how we were doing? No you didn’t.
  • @ErikLimpert
Bakery dept need better representation in the contract it's been overlooked a lot the last couple contract signings/negotiations
  • This is absolutely ridiculous. We get paid far too little for jobs we work far too hard at, and now you're telling us we have to pay more. Not acceptable.
  • @jojomercury
As both an ex full time department manager and a current part time employee I would have to agree with your proposal Dave. It was never fair and hurt the Union and companies to have the part time dues structure. Many prospective part time employees are turned off by the percentage of dues taken from there small hours pay check. Needs more information but as it stands I will vote yes.
  • Reducing dues for part-timers is a must. My 16 yr old daughter is a bagger she works 4 hours every Saturday. Her pay is 12.50 an hr. After her dues of $16 and taxes are paid, her check is 28.90 per week. She gets to pocket less than 60% of her pay. Yet she has no real benefits bought with her dues. Full timers you would be raising heck if you were parting with 40% of your check.
  • @evepayne6431
I even stay to help my coworkers and I see there overwhelmed with customers I can say I do love 99% of them need nurturing ok
  • So why should I pay more how about you all negotiate a better contract and get them more money and stop lying you all do not have our best interest at heart you take out money and do nothing and a lot of us are tired of it
  • @brandino2051
As a full timer, I only get 4wks when I hit 10ths not even at my ten yrs. And didn’t get a full raise this year. So what is up with that! 😡
  • @kit22100
So if you do a due increase on the full-timers does that mean you will cut the dues you charge the part timers to make it more equal, or are we just going to see the problem with over charging part timers, not do anything about it, and increase dues on the full timers just cause the Union wants more money from everyone? Also, what about those full timers that are capped out at 3 weeks of vacation time, and still only get paid the minimum wage, and also pay for insurance that they can’t even afford to use because of deductibles and copayments? Just curious.
  • @them2002
If full timers dues are INCREASING, 655 better be REPRESENTING.
