FFXIV Collapsible Hotbar Macros

We’ll be playing with Hotbar Macros to show/hide different menus and load up hotbars stored in old classes to easily access class changes and emotes.
This technique can be adapted for any macro, button, skill or items that you wish.

I forgot to mention it in the video, but I’ve done a Reference Sheet in the description to help follow along with setting up your hot bars.

HUGE FYI to anyone that might have had this same issue. Make sure only the static hotbars are shared. The ones that get abilities copied over will not work if they are also shared. I spent an hour trying to figure out why the hotbar copying macro wasn't working, only to realise it must bug out if the bar being copied to is a shared bar. 🤷♀

This is incredible, I love using the class bars as extra hotbars for emotes, so smart!

Really helpful video,even taught me some things i could do to customize the hotbars in my own way (like if i want to separate melee and ranged dps i can use the thing you did with the emote pages but to separate the two instead), subbed!

Thank you soo much I been trying soo hard to figure hot how to hotbar scroll. Still don’t know how to get the scrolling symbol when scrolling but this vid helped a lot

Whenever I try to test out the Duty List macro, I get an error saying that "Duty" and "Scenario" aren't valid HUD elements. I copied it directly from the google doc

When I unshared all my hot bars except for 9 and 10 and changed to a different class it didn’t display any of the things I added to the hot bars and the only way for it to work was to share all the hot bars any idea why this might the case? great video man you saved my screen space

would you help me set the + and - Macros? I try to set them up but it doesn't want to work :(

I've been trying to link the cnj bars to my regular bars for the emotes. No idea why its not working currently, the rest of the walk through helped me set up everything the way I liked them prior to whatever reset wiped my macros. I tried using other classes to to link the hotbars because initially I didn't have a cnj save in my gear set list. But that didn't solve it either. Help? Tips.. Anything lol

How did you get to set the cheer as the emote for the macros? Idk how 😅😅 I’m new and on PlayStation haha

I'm having an issue making my bars show the correct bars.. I put all of my DPS roles on PUG bar 1 but when I press the macro for DPS classes it just shows bar 8 empty. The macro I have is /hotbar copy PUG 1 current 8 /hotbar display 8 (on/off) What am I doing wrong?
