Fighting in No Man's Sky... Pt 2... Space Battles

You should use the cyclotron ballista as your ranged weapon. It wipes shields very quickly, the range is much better, and if it overheats it takes like 1 and half seconds to come back. When you go after the shield generators on the dreadnaughts you can stop near one side and shoot all of them all the way down the trenches. One more thing about that though is that you can actually shoot the cores before they come out if you aim at the base after you shoot the ball, so you don't have to wait for them to come up at all if you are in a time pinch.
