That last one is sickening. I live in Australia and had a teacher get cancer at school, she got paid time off for her entire treatment. That was at an underfunded public school as well. This is how it should be everywhere.

My last job actually refused to do the sick day thing when my coworker was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even after a petition and other departments supporting it saying theyâd contribute they still said no. Poor S was worrying about how sheâd pay her bills until the day she died. Rest in peace, friend. She was only 32.
