Imagine being a 40 year old pirate who constantly getting beat up by a bunch of like 12yr olds ..💀

So fun fact: In stage adaptations of Peter Pan, Captain Hook and the father Mr. Darling are usually played by the same actor. It’s a tradition that took place to save money but also because of them being antagonists and symbolic of each other. They keep this tradition in the animated Peter Pan movie with the two sharing the same VA.

The baby crocs could just be mimicking the sound their parent makes, especially if they're hearing it often.
  • A good pirate makes an exact duplicate of another person’s property, then takes the duplicate and leaves the original.
  • @csir62
A good pirate never takes another person's property

Jake and his friends were literally the ONLY people on the island who actually had morals (If you exclude tinker bell’s friends in pixie hollow from the tinker bell prequels)
  • Fun fact! In the original Peter Pan story, people do age in Neverland! The only person who never truly aged was Peter himself, and depending on the version Peter would either try to kill any lost boy that stopped being a kid, or they'd simply just run away and join Hook's crew once they became like teens/adults.
  • I'm so freaking glad you called out the misogynistic bullshit Wendy went through in the Disney film. Like even as a kid I felt uncomfortable about that mermaid scene. They were LEGIT trying to attack and drown her and then just play it off as she was in the wrong for defending herself. And then he proceeds to abandon her after saving Tiger Lily. Like...I don't care if he's a hero to the kids there, I don't trust someone who cuts off a guy's hand and feeds it to a crocodile because of a "dare"

Jake is just an autistic kid with hyperfixation on pirates that makes his friends play out his ideas for make-belief with their dads - Sharky and Bones, and his uncle - Hook. Whenever the kids make up another character or scenario to add Jake turns it to be Pirate themed at all cost.

I have a hypothesis! Captain Flynn is the legend that little orphan Eugene would read about and later rename himself after in Disneys Tangled. It's all connected

The whole acorn necklace being a kiss thing is a nod to the actual play btw. In the play, Wendy says that she would give him a kiss but then get nervous and gives him a thimble, calling it a kiss. So Peter in return gives Wendy an acorn, thinking it’s a kiss.
  • @Mooms
Fun fact: The show was originally supposed to be a spin-off of Pirates Of The Caribbean but they scrapped it in favor of it being connected to Peter Pan

As a kid, I’ve never understood why other girls had crushes on Peter Pan because he’s so mean to Wendy?? Also poor Wendy has the worst time ever on Neverland. Tinkerbell tries to shoot her down, the mermaids try to drown her, the natives give her a bunch of chores to do during the party, and then she’s kidnapped by pirates. Like damn no wonder she wanted to go home
  • "A good pirate never uses tricks to get treasure" thats right, they murder. No trickery involved.

Okay, but you don’t understand. I NEED to see an Octonauts deep dive now. Like, who runs the organization? How many octonauts are there? Where do they get the funding?
  • @cole2901
Not gonna lie, Athena looks fucking kick-ass in her pirate outfit.
