Looking at this video again on 09 Nov 2020, the pandemic, US election result etc. quite different now.

Who is still watching this in 2021?
  • Great analysis. But disagree with Kevin's view on certain fundamental issues though. I guess being a diplomat, he cannot be too frank in his opinion? On the issue of China's growing military power, to me this is in response to a clear and present danger. US existential threat. Look at what happened to Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and very soon Iran. As for Xi JinPing policy of self reliance in technology, again the reasons are obvious.
  • Can you imagine scott morrison performing this well in a discussion?

Taiwan issue is not that complicated, under the constitution of the Republic of China (ROC) which now administrates Taiwan, the island is a region of Fujian province which belongs to China likewise under the constitution of the People's Republic of China (PROC) which now administrates the mainland inclusive HK & Macau. China is now either being represented by PROC or ROC. About 15 countries recognised ROC the rest recognised PROC which is also a member of UN & other global organizations.

The US use of weaponizing the dollar will force other countries away from it. The bully always has a time when others will say "enough". So, Mr. Trump has out smarted himself. (wasn't really that hard).

Since the trade war started, everything this guy predicted. The opposite happened. This guy just sounds smart. He is not actually smart.
