I really didn't mind the foggy background. It reminded me somewhat of the visions of the past from KotOR. It was a natural way to save on the budget and I think it was also an effective visual highlighting that this whole encounter for Ahsoka was not crystal clear but at times somewhat of a fever dream. They didn't actually go back in time, it was a segment of a memory.

Anakin and Ahsoka bickering was straight out of CW The actress for young Ahsoka was perfect The phasing between Vader/Anakin was cool Got Rex for all of 5seconds 🥳🥳🥳(pretty sure its tems voice) Shout out for senator Organa

I also thought it was neat that they had her use the force echo thing. Nice to see echos are this relevant to canon after their significance in KOTOR II

I think withholding judgment is a great call. One of the better ways of putting an epiphany in a story without spoon feeding it to the audience is to have the character have to then pass on her epiphany to another character. Given Ahsoka’s relationship with Sabine thus far that would make a lot of sense to see her do later. While I have my own ideas about what it was Ahsoka learned, I’m looking forward to seeing where they take this

The last two episodes of this show have had me bawling my eyes out. Seeing Captain Rex in live action has been a dream since I was 6. I remember when I was arguing with my friends about who got to be Captain Rex on the playground. Shit hit right in the feels

So what did you think of Hera Syndulla asking Huyang about Ahsoka's mentor? It seems apparent that Hera does not know that Darth Vader was her mentor. This was a very nice touch on the whole episode.

I think it doesnt matter if they were trying to save money and in the process they accidentally made the scenes more focused (or blurry w/e) and mystical ... or other way around ... it worked! And thats important.

I completely agree with you, Hayden was just amazing. Give the guy good dialogue and strong direction and he fucking slays. I don't need CGI Luke Skywalker in this show but I do wish at least Ahsoka and Anakin discussed him or someone brought it up if they should ask him for help.
