She's a tax payer. She has every right to confront the school board. She is paying to educate the next generation.

It should not matter if a person has students in the school. If you pay taxes you have a right to question the behavior of our public servants

The school board saying it’s inappropriate for her to read that has got to be one of the funnest examples of being a hypocrite.

You don't have to be a parent to raise a complaint on what is being put in the approved curriculum in your school district. You pay taxes on that school district... You have a right to voice your complaint!

I have never heard the parent of a homeschool child ever complain about what is in the library. My point is, it’s probably time for us all to seriously look at homeschooling our children. We are depending on the government to do something that we don’t trust them to do.

Years ago there would be no argument with these school boards. They would have been called out by the community and driven out of the area.

When I was in school, teachers kept track of what students were reading. My teachers kept a list to make sure we were reading something in our reading level. And if we weren’t, we had to send the book back to the library and choose another one. I’m not saying teachers need to parent. I’m saying that teachers need to STAND with the parents! There are too many parents standing alone! Where are the teachers???

It’s amazing that its okay for children to hear this… but reading that same book to adults is not okay. Evil is truly at work.
