  • George confronting his father was one of the most powerful yet emotional scenes in the history of this show.
  • @lilg9957
"How could you leave a family You had a responsibility" damn that's dark as hell
  • “Even without a father I’m more of a man than you’ll ever be.” That hit me where I live

Let’s break this down: The minute George found out Manny was alive, he was angry and resentful towards his mother, even if it was comedic relief for the show. Benny warned George constantly not to search for Manny because of the man he was. George denied because he wanted a real relationship with his father. Manny dies and asks George to not attend the service for a low and dirty reason. Benny was right the whole time.
  • Benny wasn’t a woman, she was a young teenage girl left to raise a baby and piece together a life with nothing. It takes a special type of coward to do what manny did. This scene is so powerful and Manny had that beating coming for a long time.

"GO GO GO HE WASNT THERE"😂 that made a sad episide hilarious
  • @redrd7
He’s yelling go like he’s not the driver😂
  • “That’s for my Mother!! ... “now I’m done.” Most powerful quote for a comedy show, in my opinion.

The pain you hear when he says “you turned your back on us” is really convincing
  • "I don't care how many checks you write, or how big your company is. You're a failure. And you can't buy me." Top-tier writing.

This and the scene from fresh prince of Bel-air with his dad leaving him again. Makes even real niggas tear up.
  • "How come he don't he want me man?" "That's for my mother!" Lines like these for those of us who grew up without fathers will always hurt worse than any broken bone ever will
  • @johelperez8665
Manny: How’s your mother? George: she still The same Manny: That’s too bad 😂😂😂😂😂😂
  • @izikray
Benny called George too proud for not accepting his dad’s money, but honestly he was just maintaining his integrity.
  • "I didn't get anything from you but a letter full of excuses. Even without a father, I'm more of a man you'll ever be." That was deep 😳😳
  • My father left out of my life when I was 6months old Ik how George feels in this scene but since now I'm 25 I realize all the angry and frustration I have about my father will not change him it will only change me for the worst so I must do right by my gf and be a better father than mine was to me

The fact that george lopez told manny he couldn't buy him when he tore the check up,really shows how much his family means more to him than money. This man is what I strive to be,a good provider and a loving husband/father.
  • This scene shows how great an actor George is. He's obviously a great comic but jus dramatic acting was always on point and perfect.
  • A man who puts his family before his pride is someone I'll always respect. That is my favorite quote from this episode.
