The rocket strike from Hezbollah has renewed fears of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah. We take a look at the military capabilities both sides could draw upon.

And for more on this, we talk to Efraim Halevy. He is a former head of Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad. He assesses for us how likely an open conflict is.

DW correspondent Tania Krämer is following developments from Jerusalem. We ask her what this “severe response” against Hezbollah – that Netanyahu announced today – might look like…

This is such a bias report, what has happened to journalism? And journalistic integrity ? The framing of the narrative here is shameless.

why would hezbolla attack syria? makes no sense to me
  • Planes or Jets, tanks, money or Tech do not fight and win wars but the WILL to fight is what wins the war. Look at HAMAS in GAZA.

5:10 if you ask this guy to point to his left ear, he'll point to it with his right hand.

The assumption here is that it was a Hezbollah missile that hit that town. Reports of malfunctioning Iron dome missles landing in the area on an almost daily basis are starting to surface as well as the lack of a crater which indicates it wasn't a Hezbollah rocket. Why Israel would care about 12 Syrian Druze arab children being killed in the occupied Golan Heights is unusual to say the least. We know what the local Druze population thought about it as they strongly protested as Netanyahu visited the site.. Israel looks to be using this as a pretext for escalation..

Israel is in contravention of UN law by illegally occupying the Syrian Golan Heights. Why is Israel not sanctioned for being a force of occupation (like Russian in Ukraine). Why this dichotomy?

Let them go at it. Thier religions. Thier wars. As an American, I want nothing to do with it.
