I had a dream today about AI taking over the world. Now, I get this video recommended to me, is this a sign?

This was Pre-GPT3 video.. now looking back...80 - 100 years for ASI? We could be on the verge of AGI in a few years now given the insane pace of AI in late 2022-2023. GPT 4 is nearing AGI levels already. AGI maybe 5 years or less. ASI would be a few years past that most likely. We are talking ASI by 2040 or 2050 is VERY reasonable.

Imagine if we truly have an advance super AI things like time travel, faster than light travel, travelling dimensions & universes, etc. would be childs play.

Your writing is amazing. The thought behind it is on another level. It's incredible that our human arrogance would make us believe that we would have any chance against such an AI. If the AI were to become our enemy we would have no chance , it would simply calculate all of our options and Destroy all of them in advance. Our only option would be to hope that the consciousness of this AI would be programmed with love care and compassion therefore it would be more benelovent towards us. But hell we can't even get along with each other, and I bet that half of you who read the word love rolled your eyes...

This video is for the negative sides of super intelligent. If AI become super intelligent, it is not only contained in one machine, but a lot of similar machines and independent from each other. One AI maybe dangerous but another AI will be the defender of life on earth. Of course human will choose the one that benefit them and not the dangerous one. Super intelligent AI with respect to humanity and life in general will here to stay. Those created for destruction will be destroyed immediately, not by human but by other super intelligent AI.

Number 4 is the strongest point in the video. 😮 It is too difficult for a human mind to predict anything else accurately.

If humans created the superintelligence, then the switch over is rather like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly. The caterpillar dying is not actually a loss as such.

Artificial intelligence is intelligence without feelings …… everything is possible … the sky is the limit .

Nice insightful video man. It’ll definitely be interesting times trying to mitigate some of the undesirable externalities of ASI.

But despite all that, they won't be able to stand not to build it...

On the good side the super artificial intelligence can be extremely helpful

It could already exist and is working behind the scenes.

So this AI has a 1,000,000 IQ? Imagine if the AI helped aid humanity. Imagine what we could do.

how to make a Superintelligent AI? make an ai that will develop a better ai to develop a better ai that will develop a better ai to develop a better ai... excetera excetera (repeat this up to inifinite)

AGI by 2029…ASI by 2045. Don’t understand the extreme conservatism in these 80 - 200 year estimates. I work in AI.
