spoilers I just got done with my first playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 as Arthur Morgan with Low Honor. I have to say it has changed my way of looking at morality. In this video I explore that, along with details of the strange man and how that correlates to the ending in my eyes.

If you liked it - please watch it the entire way through as that helps the channel the most.

Also, like subscribe and comment if you liked this longer video or you would like me to do another type of video.

every time i see arthur’s death it feels like i’m watching a loved one die i swear i genuinely mourn his death as if he’s real

I’ve never played a full low honor playthrough in rdr 2. I’d start out bad but when Arthur gets sick I do a full 180 in my honor ever since my first ever playthrough. I absolutely refuse to see Arthur die any other way. A story that has such an impact on my own view on a fictional character and in my own way fight to make sure he turns out good, to honor his wishes- just goes to show how how amazing rockstar is at story telling

5 years on, and we still talk about this game, that’s why it’s the best game most of us have ever played!
  • @AndrewR21
Bro randomly shooting horses 💀 yeah I hope it did make you rethink
  • I really want to do a low honor playthrough but I just can't bring myself to do it, doing things like denying Mary's missions or refusing to go with Sadie to kill the last O'Driscolls would just break my heart lol

It’s not a gta in the west, it’s an open world Cowboy game. People need to stop disrespecting these masterpieces.

I constantly restart the story after completing it and I ALWAYS find new things that I didn't find before, I feel like to me- the game is endless. A perfect narrative with one of the most tenacious protagonist's in gaming history.

This was so high quality I just assumed you were some big youtuber with maybe about 100k subs. But turns out your severely under rated thank you for this video.
  • When Micah blew my head off on low honor my first play through I thought I just made a mistake and that I’d just restart the sequence. Boy when I realized that was meant to happen, I was completely in shock.

Truly both the low honor endings are absolutely gut wrenching and leave you telling yourself "I wish I did better..."
During Arthur's last ride you'll notice how the music is not just sad but also scary and chilling as opposed to when he has high honor which is a nice detail.
When you make Arthur dishonorable it's like you're taking away his true self, his dignity, his genuinity etc...
All things considered I'm glad you at least chose to help John at the end which was basically like an atonement. Arthur has a great place in my heart as one of the best video game protagonists and It would wound me to see him go out bad...

Damn you for making me relive Arthur’s Death. I replayed the game years later and kept Arthur in Chapter 3 or 4. There he can live forever. 😢

    (*SPOILER)
Damn, I’ve beaten this game doing both options and this is the first time I see Arthur get shot in the head in the ending. This game has insane levels of details it’s crazy.

I have never played on low honor, so having Arthur seeing the wolf instead was new to me. Makes a lot of sense now!

I went into my first playthrough with high honour- I've never played with low honour..and I've never seen the low honour endings before this. The way Micah sinks his knife into Arthur's chest- the fire all around them, you can hear the pain in Arthur's voice- THE WAY MICAH PUSHES THE KNIFE IN AND KILLS HIM?? The "damn us both!" in the other one and Micah's maniacal laughing- holy shit. the voice actors did a phenomenal job god fucking damn-- this is without a doubt the greatest game I've ever had the pleasure of playing 10/10

Currently doing my second play through and even though I swore I’d play low honour, I just can’t bring myself to do it. I feel it would be betraying Arthur’s true self - although he’s a cynical and grouchy outlaw, I think he’s a softie at heart and always tries to do the right thing. The ‘A ❤ M’ in his journal after seeing Mary shattered my heart, he deserved so much better. I already know I’m gonna sob again when it comes to the final showdown! Arthur is Rockstar’s best character, without a shadow of a doubt.

Insane to think that I played this game so late, and there's soooooo many people that are just now coming out with videos about it. Feeling exactly how I do.

I ended on high honor, helped John, got the sunset at the end... it was a work night and I couldnt stop playing. I went into work looking like I'd just cried at a funeral. The 'thank you' to my horse that I'd had since Chapter 2.... One of the hardest emotional moments in a video game that I've played.

What an astoundingly excellent video essay. Bravo. I have long since 100%’d the game, and scoured the entire map, but the bit about the poem showed me that there is still so much I had left uncovered.

Like you, I played my first play through low honor, seeing it like another GTA. After the ending, it didn’t sit right with me, so I sought to play again while doing all I could to keep Arthur alive as long as possible. I took advantage of the glitch that lets you get to black water as Arthur and explored the map as him as I felt he should be the one to experience those moments. Come to find out, the devs must have thought of this as I noticed Arthur has unique dialogue options, and diary entries in those locations.

This game changed my life, and I mourn the fact that I have finished it. This video perfectly highlights why. It’s amazing to watch others play the game for the first time and see them appreciate the beauty of this wonderfully tragic story. It’s hard to bring my self to play the game again for these reasons, but I look hopefully towards the future when another game might give me that feeling all over again.

This is one of the best if not the best video someone made of RDR. Dude, this had me broken all over again...
