Adopt don't shop. Happy and healthy cats and other animals are very frequently put down in shelters just due to there not being enough space. Please visit my website on animal care for more information (note, please don't try to buy the stickers, the links aren't working , its just there for show)

This is my animation for my college final major project. I am still very new to animation and I hope you enjoy.

  • Oml I cried. I hate when people treat cats like toys and abandon them. Cats are companions and deserve love, Not a decoration that needs Maintenance.

I am a 46yr old man... and this made my cry like a baby. I 100% endorse this message. There are some amazing cats (and dogs) waiting for a good home at your local animal shelter. If you're looking for a pet, go there first.

My daughter asked the shelter for an older cat. They told her they had an older cat that was returned twice because they said she was too needy. They thought she was unadoptable but, she took her home . 3years later Freya is queen of the house and she is the best fur baby and loves her mommy. Please consider older cats have many good qualities and can make great pets.

I miss my old cat TC. He was an absolute asshole but he adored me. I remember being in the Navy and whenever I called home my mom would put the phone up to him and I would say hi and he'd meow back. He watched me leave for bootcamp in the window. When I got home from the Navy he never left my side. Always sitting on my lap. I held him as the vet put him to sleep. That spring I got a tattoo of him on my arm. So he'll always be with me.

I have 3 black cats and two senior tabby’s and they are the sweetest things to walk on this earth, all they want is love

Cats are not somethings, they are someones. They are treated like an object and they don't deserve to be. All i can do is share videos to others just like this one to spread the message. Thank you.
  • As Christmas is coming up, here's your reminder: Animals are no presents. They are a lifelong commitment. You care for them all their life.
  • I used to have a disabled cat Her name was Sunshine, and she was missing her left hind leg, half of her other hind leg, and a chip of her ear. She was found after a dogfight and was indoor only, not friendly around dogs, but i lover her. No wonder her name was sunshine, she was a little ray of love! She died of old age at around 15, and i almost cried watching this

Bawling. Sobbing. On the floor weeping. This hits way too hard. I’ve volunteered at a shelter ages ago, and I felt horrible seeing older cats and disabled cats being looked over for kittens. If I had my way I’d take in all the senior cats, all disabled cats, and all black kitties.
  • Nearly two years ago, I adopted a black kitten, or rather he adopted me by sneaking by the shelter worker to come up to me. This Friday (March 31st) will be his second birthday. Not only did I get to take home an adorable black kitten that bonded to me immediately, it turned a surge of people decided they would rather adopt a senior cat than a kitten so there were more kittens than older cats at the time. While it was sad the kittens weren't being adopted, I was also very happy the senior kitties will live their last few years in a home and not a shelter.
  • That's why I love my job. I'm an animal rescuer. I offer my house as a shelter for animals, like dogs and cats, but I commonly rescue cats, they are pretty common here in my town. I rescue cats of all types, colours, shapes and forms. I own 4, a senior female black cat, a black female cat that has no back legs, and two other female cats. I'm at the moment trying to socialize a senior tomcat with one ear, taking him to the vet and making him mine. I find lovely homes for all of my rescued animals. I love my job. And when I finish my veterinary school, I'll keep doing my job till my last breath 💕
  • One of the things I will never forget was when I was nine and at an adoption event, and the worker filling out the paperwork told me that she was happy that the cat my mom was adopting was going to have a home for Christmas because she (the cat) had almost run out of time at the shelter she had been at. The cat was only five years old, and though she did have some health issues near the end of her life, the only thing I could come up with as to why she was skipped over was a mild case of resting bitch face due to her markings. She was a very sweet and friendly cat, and we had ten good years with her (even if the last few months were hard). But those ten years were years she wouldn't have had if we hadn't been at that adoption event, because we turned out to be the only ones who wanted her.

Watched this laying with my cat we adopted him when he was 7 years old. He has FIV, is a black cat, overweight, and older. He looks like the gruffest meanest cat (mostly due to him missing half his ear) but is just a huge softie who loves snuggles, food, and the color orange. My parents adopted him mostly because they knew that he didn't have much of a chance otherwise. He deserved to be adopted and we won the lottery of sweet cats. The idea that someone might have hurt him is heartbreaking to me. Really, adopt don't shop.

I saw the thumbnail and that was all it took to send me to tears. The fact that a cat (or any animal) can be only a year old yet spend 7 months in a cage is heartbreaking.

This is beautiful! I love the part that says: “Be the voice for the voiceless” This really gave me chills honestly, it’s rlly well made!

for this reason i bought a deaf kitten from a lady who had a litter. i was so afraid of her getting into a bad place, so i asked myself "then why dont you get her?" shes sound asleep on my lap right now, and shes everything i could ever wish for. because shes deaf she cant be outside alone, so we go together. she accompanies me on a leash on walks, on the bike she goes in he basket. she comes to therapy and classes with me❤.

Omg this is all true I really hope that my two former kittens prob now adult cats are not dead but we’re adopted into great homes if not RIP my cats Oliver and Weasly
  • Okay i admit it, i cried i love this. My moms cat Lola died last year around November and we buried her on Thanksgiving, I was really sad as my mom left with her to go to the vet but she's in a better place now<3
  • There was this black and white cat at my old neighborhood, and though he wasn't mine, it felt like he was. Don't worry, he did have good owners who took care of him. But every day, he would come to my house and sit, waiting for me. I would come out and play with him, giving him tummy rubs, chin nuzzles, and hugs. I even taught him to jump up and touch my hand. It was our way of saying hi or bye. I was always so nervous that he'd be hit when crossing the road, but he seemed to know his street smarts. I was very upset when we moved, and I still sometimes get really sad about it, almost 2 years later. I knew the cat, who was Sparkles, was old, about 15 maybe, but I still hope he's alive, visiting neighbors and hunting mice and getting tummy rubs. Miss you, Sparkles >:)
